...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

i camp in luxury, even bring a bed side table with a lamp

SqueezyIsBackToBlack · 27/11/2009 23:20

Christ my tents tiny, if I put in a bedside table and lamp, I'd either need to sleep outside it or I'd scorch a hole in the roof and plus the silhouette thang....

VinegarTits · 27/11/2009 23:21

i have a big tent with a conservatory

SqueezyIsBackToBlack · 27/11/2009 23:28

Oh I like those big fancy schmancy ones with printed on french windows, they are like a caravan without wheels or the smell of gas.

Last time we went camping we got one of those cheapo tenner gazebos from Tesco to socialise in and keep the food safe. Had a bit of a storm during the night. Woke up in the morning and the gazebo was ON the car and the seagulls had eaten our food

Yes, that was a success.

BelfastBloke · 28/11/2009 08:00

What was the upshot of Shineon's Quorn plans?

Is she writing a 'bog' for them? Did Mumsnet HQ approve her links with them?

And did she tell Quorn that she doesn't think Real Men eat Quorn?

Yeah, yeah, I know. How am I going to bring up a son if I'm not a Real Man?

Thanks for the congrats. Looking forward to it. Why would you choose a boy?

Didn't wander off, just busy busy. I'll keep an eye on your threads if you like - although there seems to be bloody loads of them!

Who out of your clique group do you like most, Shineon?

VinegarTits · 28/11/2009 09:26

she likes me the best of course

congrats on having a boy belf, i have 2 of them, one has smelly feet

Lizzylou · 28/11/2009 09:43

Found you

Well done Yank, 7lbs is fab.

I am Lizzylou and need to lose at least 1 stone (prob more like 2stone).

Went swimming last night, another 70 lengths, boring but virtuous

In work this morning with some fish and a turtle to keep me company.

Morning all!

Congratulations BelfastBloke, that is great news

I have had my delivery of a charm necklace this morning from Hot Diamonds . The amount of packaging for what is essentially a teeny weeny chain was astonishing- still, the be-ribboned box will look lovely under the Christmas tree when I get around to getting one.

Has anybody else heard that there is a shortage of trees this year because they didn't plant enough ten years ago? Apparently you have to snap them up early or you will be left with a spindly old tinsel one. Which is a pain in the arse, as I like to get mine the week before Christmas- I get sick of looking at it if it goes up earlier, and end up eating at least three sets of chocolate tree decorations because I keep having to replace them.

It was just the necklace- the charms are probably still be whittled by small children in China due to us stealing over-purchasing all their stock...
