...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

Is it Knaresborough Lizzy? SIL went yesterday and said it was good.
It's raining in South Yorkshire though. I've got to walk to the pub, in the rain. No DH to guilt into driving us.

Glad you're a happy bunny DEM. I may be forced to go to Morrisons on the way back from pub lunch and get some Pepsi Max.

DidSantasMum · 06/12/2009 11:32

just stood on the scales and even having drunk a ltr of coke am down to 71kg so i reckon that if i hadnt drunk the coke before scales it would have been 70kg

Now all i have to do is to shift the last halof stone before christmas to allow for christmas weight gain and loose extra gained and half stone after christmas.

TinselianAstra · 06/12/2009 12:34

Morning. Well, afternoon.

TinselianAstra · 06/12/2009 12:52

Not sure a litre of coke is recommended for diets DEM, but you're right that it would weigh 1 kilo

Or I could go to Home Bargains and buy some E45 lotion for two quid...Shiney, you are a loon

Are you expecting to trade these Investment Lotions in the commodities market or something?

I make it a rule never to spend more than two quid on any product which dd2 is liable to grind into my carpet

I knew you were! Thing is, I've got horrible psoriasis at the moment since I came off those immuno-suppressants, so I would feel a bit of a cock smearing myself with luxurious potions and still looking like something out of a zombie movie at the end of it. Stuff like that is wasted on me.

BoF - i am of the Waitrose baby bottom butter for dry patches on my face. I can't work out which order you are supposed to put those fancy schmanzy creams on in

Very, very bad weekend here food wise with burgers, chips, crisps and alchol all featuring heavily. At least i only have two more Xmas parties to attend (and overeat at)

Lizzy - hope DS's foot is ok

Well done Iggi and SantasMum on losses

Vinny - sorry to hear of crappola weekend .

TinselianAstra · 06/12/2009 15:25

I have genetically good skin. My skin is fine with the stuff I use. If I get some posh stuff on special offer and like it, what happens then? I have to keep buying the expensive stuff, that's what!

You're like a cocaine dealer offering a first-use special!

BitOfFun · 06/12/2009 15:32

I am now imagining that if I go to Shiney's I will nick a go of exciting things from her bathroom cabinet only to discover it is her haemorrhoid cream or something. Do Elemis make haemorrhoid cream?

room for a little one

I'm back and bigger than ever! (I'm not really I just wanted to make a grand entrance, you know in that booming hollywood introduction voice), I was going to add and by popular demand, but thought that may be pushing it a bit

Sooooooo I've been gone for a month and my God it has all just gone wrong! I've been so very busy this month with DS's birthday, my brothers wedding, my little brothers 18th birthday bash, and my Mums silver wedding anniversary that my diet has just gone out of the window, and I have had to drop WW because I can't afford the subs for the meeting each week.

I have not really fallen off the wagon but actually driven it straight off the road into a massive tree and sent it to the garage for a few weeks. I'm hoping to get back on the road in the next week.

So my lovely ladies, I was all your top tips and ideas for making sure this happens. I need to be in a good routine by Christmas so I can treat myself to Christmas food but stick to my routine.

Sounds like a plan to me...maybe!

Can everyone also please fill me in on what has been happening, any name changes, weight loss/gain, life changes, how new jobs are going, basically evrything and anything I need to know.

I've missed you all loads, and so has my waistline. God it's good to be back

jaquelinehyde · 06/12/2009 15:52

*I want, not I was

Oh and I am back up tp approx 24st 7lb although I haven't weighed myself properly, thats more a guesstimate. Will let you know when I do it officially.

We have got two thread babies on the way! Thesecondcoming and SparklyAlice. We are allowed to choose the names, and they have to do what we say.

Excellent I vote for Burt and Ethel. Or Ford and Quorn.

jaquelinehyde · 06/12/2009 16:41

Just checked out the old Elfster secret santa thingy and got the details I need. I presume we are still doing this?

I shall try and source and post later this week if that is ok with you lot.

BitOfFun · 06/12/2009 17:36
