For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

FrayedKnot · 20/10/2009 17:04

I have an on and off sore throat and chesty thing for ages now. I had no voice yesterday (probably quite a relief to my colleagues).

I can recommend sambucol with added zinc to take the edge off things, mayo

Am of Pink visiting Guad's house. Well and Guad of course

Baby Lemur and I went for a lovely walk today. We walked around the local park and he went bonkers for the ducks, I thought he was going to leap out of his pram! Then we went into and walked round the Cathedral. I realised I have lived in our town for 5 years and I had never been in there .

DH still working away

LR - did you IL's move far away from you? I thought they were going to live in the same sort of area as you.

littlerach · 20/10/2009 20:18

They are about 80 miles away, Lemur.

But 2 hours drive.

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/10/2009 20:20

Ahhhh. Near, but not too near

mollyroger · 20/10/2009 20:23

they are autumn ones, lemur.

Have 5 pumpkins to process at some point...

ThePinkOne · 20/10/2009 20:29

Lemur have you got National Trust membership? Cos I remembered you're doing lots of visiting and I have a Walkers code that'll get you free NT days out. Or if anyone else wants it, have a look at the Walkers ddays out site - there are loads of different places.

Kiwi, mango, blackberries, apple, raisins, cuc, tomato, lettuce, peas and carrots in cottage pie, runner beans. Beans, apple and blackberries picked in Norfolk on Saturday

No he's not really 8 months. That would be ridiculous

SuperBunny · 20/10/2009 20:34

Pink, I think you are wrong. DS is only about 3 months old.

SuperBunny · 20/10/2009 20:35

What is this code thinng? I was thinking of asking for NT membership for xmas.

pointyhat · 20/10/2009 20:44

I have made leek and potato soup too

ThePinkOne · 20/10/2009 20:44

You can collect points with crisps for Days Out, one being Nat Trust. I've got enough for a couple of free days but you can't get annual membership I think, and not sure when it expires.

Yes, yes. Probably more like 3 months or something and Christmas is AAAAAAAAAAaaaaages away and I'm not just on Woolies website buying party bag stuff for my 3 YEAR OLD

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/10/2009 20:50

Thanks for thinking of me Pink but we have NT membership

I've already got quite a few christmas presents , infact I bought 3 today [double blush]

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/10/2009 20:51

Oh and I meant to say hello Pointy

pointyhat · 20/10/2009 20:53

ello, moveit

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/10/2009 21:02

What you been up to Pointy? Have you been a bad, bad vegger?

ThePinkOne · 20/10/2009 21:03

DD said on the way home from 'playgroup' (creche) today 'I don't want another little girl to go to my playgroup. It's my church.' What are surestart's aims again?

pointyhat · 21/10/2009 15:18

I have been a fairly rubbish vegger, yes

FrayedKnot · 21/10/2009 17:14

I still have aubergines and a few cherry toms

I am going to have them for supper as they will start to rot soon

FrayedKnot · 21/10/2009 17:16

Christmas has been postponed this year, hasn;t it?

Am hoping it will appear sometime around mid-Feb.

OP posts:
ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 21/10/2009 18:52

I like aubergines but cooking them scares me. They are very intimidating.

banana x2
apple
cucumber
carrot
humous
coleslaw x2

The rain hasn't bloody stopped here today.

mollyroger · 21/10/2009 18:57

I acnnoit do anything about xmas until after ds2's birthday

(trouble is, his b'day is Dec 23rd.......)

SuperBunny · 21/10/2009 21:41

Good luck with that, Moll.

I think I have done all xmas shopping for DS. Other than a Mr Potato Head which he 'needs' Need to get some crap for exMIL & FIL & DS's cousin and then only family stuff. No idea what to get anyone so am not thinking about it.

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 22/10/2009 07:38

he he Moll When you were pg with ds2 were you worried about a Christmas Day baby?

I was born on the the 13th Dec and the rule at home was the decorations weren't allowed to go up until after my birthday.
