Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Shiney -on a serious note - the cars get service because this is when parts like spark plugs and oil get changed and keep the car working. Not having a service does impair the abilityof the car to function and can make it less economic fuel wise. A poorly engine badly burns fuel thus wasting most of it and need more costing more money. I'd advise service it but would also say if the oil level is ok and not done many miles this last year then leaving it a few weeks to tied over finances is an option. (Disclaimer - not good reckmended if you do more then 300ish miles per week)

MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 21:46

Ok then. Brassicas vile. Nice word though.

YOu know those nights when you just know you are not going to get that early night you need .... ds.

Iggi999 · 25/09/2009 21:55

What's she up to DEM?
I haven't got an early night since I got this bloody laptop. Not that I'm expecting any sympathy for my internet habit.

Lizzylou · 25/09/2009 22:01

The one thing DH didn't draw???
Circles!

He never reads the paper, a ha!

Very clever man.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/09/2009 22:01

Not supposed to make sense me

Lizzylou · 25/09/2009 22:03

Sorry DEM, that Derren Brown thing, he is a master manipulator!

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 22:04

Hurrah, Reality's sister has had the baby, after being induced on Wednesday...at last! Just got a lovely little picture- looks so alert, especially since they thought (he?) might be poorly. Awwwww

FlamingoBingo · 25/09/2009 22:04

DEM - re your DS. Hope he gets through the night terrors soon. DD1 had them when she was a baby. It was horrible!

Mavis - welcome and please stay. I have been laughing out loud catching up on the thread's shenanigans and DH has been doing at me

I've been watching strictly. There is not one man I fancy on it this series . But Anton Du Beke is so, so, so fab - I do hope he stays this time.

FlamingoBingo · 25/09/2009 22:05

Oh thank goodness for that, BOF! I didn't post on her thread, but I have been watching it.

Iggi999 · 25/09/2009 22:06

Sorry DEM, getting my DSs and DDs mixed up. Poor wee soul. Poor wee you

I missed that thread today, stuck mainly to Threads I'm On.

Ah, it's a Girl, just got a text!

We need to think of names now, and I'll pass them on...

DEM - sympathies for ds and night terrors - how old is he?

Must think about bed myself - ds2 (5 months) likes to lull me into thinking he's going to sleep through and then spectacularly fails. Again.

No doubt be back later.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 25/09/2009 22:10

NO! Kerry,...pass them to me please.....

He is 4 1/2 and i am a past master of his night terrors. At least now they are a rarety rather then the norm. Just tired and a bit iffy myself. Am trying to discover my bed - it currently burried under laundry. And that was last weeks. This weeks is walking in the direction of the machine. The ironing monster, however, has been a bit frisky this week and multiplied rather then being kicked in the ass. Ho hum life of a mum.

Very much looking forward to my boy free weekend in 2 weeks time. If only to lie in bed all day and do assignments. its thrills ville here
