Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

The selection boxes that came with my online shop yesterday (which I should have put away before now) are sat on the kitchen table calling me....

DreamsInBinary · 25/09/2009 20:50

I'm afraid we're a bit like fifth-formers when the prefects are all supervsiing prep.

we're not normally allowed to even talk about chocolate, but Syc is being superwoman in rl, and Shiney is a very, er, progressive headmistress

MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 20:52

Soft Caramel
Creamy Fudge
Double Chocolate Croquant (wtf sounds like it should have ham in it)
Crunchy Praline
Orange Crisp
Chocolate Truffle

I'm listing them so I can't be eating them. DS1 will be able to make a lovely advent crown at this rate!

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 20:53

I recommend you all read the pebbledashed toilet thread if you want putting off your chocolates...

DreamsInBinary · 25/09/2009 20:53

hahahaha BoF - what I was thinking precisely

DreamsInBinary · 25/09/2009 20:54

Good god - not that post

Salsavita · 25/09/2009 20:54

I have read it BofF - don't think I would be too happy though if someone left my loo in a similar state..

I go mad at the boys for not putting the seat up when they wee and they leave drops.

MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 20:55

Ah.... listing chocolate not a good start then?

Honestly, since, I had DS1 I have such a sweet tooth and so here I am, turning to you for help and what happens?!

ok, then. What is your favourite brassica?

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 20:56

Brassicas are the work of the devil. That is what differentiates us from the 10/10 thread.

Service won't necessarily stop it conking out though. Just like getting an MOT doesn't stop it breaking down the next day! You could use the £100 to buy nice accessories for you mum's car (or a big thank you for her??)
I have eaten my twirl, and all this talk about thorntons isn't helping me.

Iggi999 · 25/09/2009 20:58

Only chocolate left in the house is half a scape of Nutella, and a box of Thomas the tank engine chocs. I couldn't eat my son's special chocolate, could I...??

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 21:02

I am off for a little while to imagine licking chocolate off watch Derren Brown- see you later!

OP posts:
Salsavita · 25/09/2009 21:03

Bye for now BofF

MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 21:04

Couldn't find the pebbledashed toilet thread but am considering weighing my breasts.

Enjoy derren Brown BOF. I'm going to find Mock the Week on the iplayer. Friday night, rock and roll.

Lizzylou · 25/09/2009 21:07

Unless they've got.........
Ah, OK, got it now.

DH is watching Derren Brown. Can't see it myself...

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 25/09/2009 21:16

''Couldn't find the pebbledashed toilet thread but am considering weighing my breasts.''

Oh please stay mavis..you made me really laugh

You can all keep the chocolates, but does anybody have any pie?

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 21:18

DP has ruined it by telling me what the shape is- I can't think of anything else now

I bet he's right.

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 21:20

I haven't got any scales for the boobage weighing. How would that be possible anyway?

My favourite brassica is from New look mavis

Although I don't suppose eating Apple Pie off somebody has quite the same 'je ne sais quoi' as licking chocolate off them, and you would have to be careful where you stuck the fork....

Iggi999 · 25/09/2009 21:37

Ouch, apples can be hot. Just watching Medium, I would even eat lettuce off the guy in that (lovely, laidback husband and father, sympathetic ear with floppy hair and broad shoulders). But I digress.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/09/2009 21:39

DIB I think i am fledging into proper geek status

I saw that thread yesterday Mavis and almost considered it. Agree though brassicas are work of the devil. go wash your mouth out

Lizzylou · 25/09/2009 21:42

As Iggles says, Hot apple pie could be dicey, I have burnt my mouth on the MCD's ones many a time.

DH drew a Zebra, Derren says lots of people drew horses, now he thinks he is physic! He did also draw a gun/spear/Zulu Shield/DS1/a rocket/etc etc etc Oh, he also drew a Virgin train, but he drew about 30 things!

I think he may be clutching at straws....

MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 21:44

Back from Mock the Week, now watching the end of Rebus as I rather have a thing for Ken Stott (have no idea why).

Derren Brown is a bit smug. What's he peddling this week?

I don't have any pie but I have a bit of plum crumble in the fridge I could bung in the microwave warm through in a gentle oven?
