Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

I have a twirl in the cupboard for later but this is a good thing. Would normally be a 150g bar of turkish delight.
Today have had a decent walk, sensible lunch and only spoiled so far with a second pudding for tea. Was home made so I felt owed it to self. Have also done a lot of Wiggles dancing.

Lizzylou · 25/09/2009 20:12

Hello all
FB, I always think honesty is the best policy

I think I may need to start again on Monday, just had a pizza and am drinking wine.....

Had nothing all day though.

Great bouncing TMW, I need some of that lemsip stuff, am debating whether or not to go to bed!

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 20:12

Wiggled dancing good

You all are sort of forgiven for glossing over my trauma

Some people would have eked a whole thread out it, count yourselves lucky...

BofF - how old is DD2?

Iggi999 · 25/09/2009 20:26

Oh my god BOF I hope your heartrate is back to normal! Surely you get to have a drink/muffin/night of relaxation. You can cope with that AND think of new thread titles! My hero

FlamingoBingo · 25/09/2009 20:26

BOF! I love it that you slipped UTGSN into the poo thread!

Bloody well done!

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 20:27

That's more like it, Iggi

She's nine now, Bella. And it wouldn't be a problem for most people UTGSN

Using my new acronym there...

Can I join you?

I've just eaten half a box of Thorntons chocolate trying to justify to myself that I was collecting the wrappers for DS1's craft box. He does so like Mr Maker. I've flattened out all the wrappers 'n' everything.

I have to stop eating sugar. Make me stop.

Please.

Well at least she is tucked up safely now

Kids eh! DS2 keeps me on my toes.

Hello MavisGrind - mmmm, I do love a Thorntons chocolate.

DreamsInBinary · 25/09/2009 20:35

Nice start, BoF

So was she in the park when you got there? That stomach-flipping, sickening fear leaves me shaky for ages. Wine, cheesecake and mini dime bars are the only cure.

UTGSN???

Hi Mavis, Love Thorntons and I am sure that you are really helping your son, so you are forgiven, now give me thes rest of the box.

Shiney, ummm, if you are going to sell your car, would you need to have it serviced? If not, cancel it for a few weeks and enthuse about any ideas your Mom has for her new car.

DreamsInBinary · 25/09/2009 20:39

I'd bite the bullet and get it serviced Shiney. The possibility of breaking down is just too grim.

Hi Mavis
Alpine thingies or viennese truffles? I could think about that all day...

Lizzylou · 25/09/2009 20:41

Goodness, Bof, just read what happended, I would be mainlining gin whilst eating the rest of Mavis's truffles after that. It is my worst nightmare.

Hope the vodka is soothing you now..

Not sure Shiney but I am one of the legion of penguin followers so I expect my posts got lost in the throng..

With regards to car (see how I've settled in already!) I suppose it would depend on whether you'd then sell it "with full service history". I dunno really, I can only tell you my cars colour.

Salsavita - hello. I keep looking at the Thorntons box and reminding myself I had plans to save the whole thing for Christmas

Salsavita · 25/09/2009 20:44

OMG DIB - I was trying to think of the name of the truffles - and you have just said it - viennese - I lurve those.

Get your car serviced shiney. What car will you be getting when your mum gives you hers?

BitOfFun · 25/09/2009 20:45

Hi Mavis

Shiney, if he's nice, couldn't you just arrange to service him and get some money off? That could get it down to, ooh, a hundred and ten, no?

OP posts:
MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 20:46

They were are Thorntons Moments no less and to check this I've had to get them out of the kitchen and they are now sat next to me on the sofa. Calling me.

I thought you lot were supposed to be helping

MavisGrind · 25/09/2009 20:47

I've already eaten another two.

I have no willpower.

Save the alpinis for me, Mavis.

If you can put the service off for a few weeks without endangering yourself or damaging the resale cost I'd put it off.
I am the mistress of procrastination though.
