Eat fruit and vegetables - 10/10 thread BOOTCAMP, all welcome

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh sweetheart. You need to face up to reality, and get it sorted out. Tonight's not the time to talk about it though. A few minutes, then an hour, then a couple of hours... you can do it.

dogofpoints · 06/09/2009 20:01

wrong, if you've been prescribed tablets and you're feeling very low, it would probably be best to take them and see the doctor tomorrow.

ABitWrong · 06/09/2009 20:05

ThePinkOne · 06/09/2009 20:06

ABW I'm sorry. I can't help. I'm rubbish at stuff like this and feel helpless and just want to cry But stop drinking honeybun. Can you just go to bed. The DC can sort themselves out this once. See the doctor tomorrow.

(((((((((((((TooTsweet)))))))))))))

Do you need to start a thread in mental health? You usually get some good support. That's not me saying you can't do it in here just as well as, might help.

((((((((()))))))))))
((((((((((()))))))))))

See? Cuddly cuddles. No pointy elbows here.

xx

dogofpoints · 06/09/2009 20:10

Go to the doctors tomorrow. You must. You might just have to start taking a prescription, it might be your best option.

I agree that maybe mental health people will be much better at talking to you about this. We're worried about you, wrong

TigerFeet · 06/09/2009 20:12

A thread in mental health a good idea I'll mosey on over. If you like.

Shall I tell you about my day?

We went to the seaside.

I am 39+1 and I have spent the day waddling (in some discomfort I might add) around Skegness.

I am clearly bonkers.

I have eaten little f and no v.

SuperBunny · 06/09/2009 20:16

ABW, I don't know what to say. I can only reiterate what everyone else has told you on here. We care and we are worried... please stop drinking - have a cup of tea, go to bed when the DC are settled and get an emergency apt with the dr in the morning. This has been going on too long - you shouldn't be feeling like this - you deserve better.

Sorry I can't be more supportive - just found out, on facebook that a lovely friend has died and it's made me feel a bit funny. She was a year older than me
