I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

I know you're right about renting shine. My Mum sold up and rents in the area she had always wanted to live in where house prices are stupidly high (where I'm now looking). She loves it.

I'm just a bit sad about it because I never thought I would be able to buy anywhere. We fought tooth and nail to buy where we did and have made it a beautiful home. I knew I would move eventually (to get to the area I want to be in)but I would have liked to have chosen the when, instead of having it forced upon me.

I am looking at the positives,we will be eventually moving to one of the most desirabe places in the area. We will be within the catchment area for the best state primary and secondary schools by a long shot. We will have a better standard of living, and finally we shall have a property big enough for us all (we currently live in a 2 bedroom flat, yet there are 3 children and 2 adults so we are squished).

Anyway enough droaning on, I'm sure you don't want to hear my very complicated story as to how w got where we are now So I shall let you all know how it goes. Fingers crossed for a stunning 3 bed cottage/house with a good sized garden, centraly located as neither of us drive and I need to travel to Uni 3 times a week. Bloody hell I don't want much do I

Right I'm shutting up now.

Hello.

Am sooooo excited girls.. our friends who emigrated to the US about 11 years ago now, are driving to Las Vegas to see us whilst we are there. I really love them to bits and cannot wait. I feel like a cat on hot bricks!

Just one more shift to do at the pub then I am free. Many of the customers keep asking me to get a taxi home so I can have a few drinks, I feel really mean saying no but we drive to Gatwick on the Saturday and I don't think I will be able to sit in the car for 4 hours with a bad head. Plus I am not a huge drinker and will be giddy and drunk on just a few glasses.

Have just had ww toast with low fat spread and marmite. The fridge is quite bare now, but I don't want to do any more shopping.

I am taking the boys out to lunch today as DH is away till around 9.00pm tonight and with the bed changing and cleaning I have to do , it will be a welcome break.

Sazzles - I am waiting for AF to arrive, I thought it would have been here by now and then gone by the time we go on hols.... typical. Up until a few months ago, I had the coil so had no periods whatsoever and it was great going on hols and not worrying.

Morning! Had a walk yesterday and did my Wii Fit again this morning.

I've had poached egg on toast for breakfast, need to practice, but it was tasty.

Found the veg curry here.

I'm ill

TrillianAstra · 06/08/2009 10:10

Hi guys, shiny new computer has arrived in work, but the man in Cardiff who knows the passwords isn't answering his phone, useful. We've only been here nearly 3 weeks without proper computers.

It is rather beautiful though.

Cheerios for breakfast, leftover risotto for lunch, aquafit this evening.

I did a poached egg at the weekend WME, it wasn't very tidy but it was tasty.

TrillianAstra · 06/08/2009 10:11

Poor VT, what's wrong wih you?

BitOfFun · 06/08/2009 10:12

Oh dear - how bad is it? I have terrible hayfever this morning, but it should ease of soon. I'm in work now with my beautiful assistant dd1. She will be very handy for going out to buy snacks minding the till while I go for a wee, but I don't know how this deathly quiet shop will keep us both amused until teatime...

TrillianAstra · 06/08/2009 10:14

Give her the Mallory Towers books BoF - they kept you amused for a while...

If they're not funny enough you'll have to teach her to play smut-spotting.

Smut-spotting to my level takes a long career of debauched living I think...What I need is a telly with Friends on a loop, that's what she normally chortles over, while still missing most of the sex jokes!

TrillianAstra · 06/08/2009 10:19

She's just pretending not to laugh at the sex jokes... I watched Friends when I was 13... I may not have been doing it but I knew what they were talking about.
