I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

It doesn't really progress very much.

bellavita · 05/08/2009 13:15

Just the usual same old same old..

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 05/08/2009 14:11

.... I have NOT been good...farking hormones.

Hello to all. No time to catch up so hope all is well, and if not that it improves imminently.

My fridge freezer died . And someone stole my bike lights. Grump.

I now have a licence to officially learn a martial art though and am really chuffed. Not doing a proper course as such at the moment but am comsidering it...

My one redeeming quality at the moment is that i am drinking lots of water.

alicecrail · 05/08/2009 14:14

TMW we are trying to get rid of our old Fridge Freezer (i will give it away to anyone who will collect) If you are near suffolk at all.....

Ermmmm.......I would hazard a guess and say probably not

Can someone please give me some motivation? I am struggling this afternoon, and if i ride i can have chips and a glass of wine with my lasagne the problem is getting my fat lazy arse off the sofa.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 05/08/2009 14:24

Just think how GOOD you will feel if you go out ac. The thought of it is really offputting but once you are there the adrenilin kicks in and you wonder why you don't do it more often....

Go on. Feel the air in your lungs and your heart racing....

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 14:27

Shiney, have never had those fillets of which you speak, but they sound lovely.
I may venture out of my Quorn mince/meatballs rut and have a go. Are they good calorie wise?
I always find I don't eat much meat when dieting, you can eat more other stuff then.

Go out riding Alice! Then you can have vino, it's a nice day here, you'll feel loads better when you get out.

That thread is funny though, always the same though innit?
I still want to know how many fags and spliffs you'd have to smoke to get through £20 a day though, surely not enough hours in the day???

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 14:32

Go on Alice, you'll enjoy it once you get off the sofa.

I'm considering making risotto with mushrooms and chorizo and peppers tonight, what do you think?

Hoping I won't be in work as late as last Weds, phone call is starting an hour earlier which should help.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 05/08/2009 14:36

Mmmm..risotto sounds good Trill..

never had chorizo though...sounds tasty..

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 14:40

The chorizo leaches paprika-y orangey goodness into the risotto, it's lovely!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 05/08/2009 14:49

I wish I could get excited about food again..I used to be a cook, but making beans on toast is a hassle these days.

Finicky kids have killed my interest.

I just don't know how you live without tomatoes and onions personally. QFs don't sound like a good enough substitute.

wastingmyejumication · 05/08/2009 15:48

So, how do you fillet a Quorn?

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 15:51

Very carefully.

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 15:58

Tell me off if you see me back here. I have some excel-monkey work to do and it is boring but it neds doing.

wastingmyejumication · 05/08/2009 16:02

Ooh, I haven't played with Excel in ages! Not got Office on the Macbook and the PC is fried.

wastingmyejumication · 05/08/2009 16:13

I can't find the link to the vegetable curry someone posted in one of the many threads of the last week and I neeeeeeed it! Help, anyone, please?

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 16:39

Shiney we started eating quorn when SIL went veggie about 10 years ago, whenever we went to PIL's she always made a lasagne or chilli with quorn and it is nice.
Then when I was at SW I got really into it due to it counting as "free food", so bonus.
Try it peeps, it's good.
