I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

Morning

Shiney - well done to youuuuuuuuuuu!!

Syc - August is a good month for a birthday

Marthasmama · 05/08/2009 10:06

Oooooo Shiney! Well done. That is an impressive weight loss in that time.

vacaloca · 05/08/2009 10:11

I'm back! What a lovely lovely lovely holiday I have had. And how naughty I've been - 2.5kg of naughtiness to be precise, but I'm afraid I still think it was worth it.

I've missed you all, but I've got a housefull of kids here so won't be around much.

God this weather is so depressing. I want to go baaaaack!

harleyd · 05/08/2009 10:29

Helloooooo again vaca!

Wow Shiney! That's amazing! Please don't make me find the Lord though- I still want to believe that gentle tinkering of my excesses will have the same effect

Anyway, I am up with the lark today for a hard day's window shopping in Chester (v.posh) with dd1, so that should burn some calories...only £6.60 return for BOTH of us on the train, I can't believe we've never bothered before! It should take about an hour to get there, we'll have a little swan around some WAG shops, a nice (healthy) lunch and a bit of culture, then home for tea. Have managed to give my mum the slip today, so hopefully we will avoid the dreaded Marks and Spencer

Catch up with you later everyone, mwah!

SycamoretreeIsFullOfResolve · 05/08/2009 10:54

VAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

We missed you. Very much. Welcome back and glad the hols was good. And Pah to the weight gain, you'll knock it off again in no time.

Kisses to you missus. x

Ah, Lizzylou - that's sweet. Mine are only about to be 2 and about to be 4 so they don't mind sharing yet...am wondering if it will become an issue as they get older !

How old are yours?

Bella, so your babies are school year babies too?

DD starts reception this year (WAaaaaah!) My baby, my baby!

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 11:00

2.5 kilos of naughty? That's almost impressive Vaca!

Shiney how much have you lost now, and how much put back on? I notice that you seem to say 'I need to lose 2 stone' at the begining of every thread.

HolyGuacamole · 05/08/2009 11:16

Morning ladies

Fat free yoghurt for brekkie with a banana.

After entering my salads from yesterday, I'm amazed how low calorie they are. According to Lord Focus (see, I am getting into the lingo ), 50g leaves, a small radish, half an onion, 3 marinated garlic cloves, 5 olives, a tomato and 2 tbsp of balsamic vinegar is only 114 calories. Wow, am loving this! 86 calories in a tbsp of olive oil though so am gonna miss that out, not worth it.

wastingmyejumication · 05/08/2009 11:23

Shiney are you going to skip rope or like this?

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 11:27

Syc, my boys are 5 and 3, DS1 started reception last year, he loved it, worry not

Holy, I have been gorging on fruit for the very same reason, and using frylight if I cook.

Have had fat free natural yoghurt, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries for breakfast.

Lunch will be wholemeal pitta bread with 3 triangles of Laughing Cow extra light and salad leaves

Dinner will be Quorn Swedish meatballs with aubergines, roasted red peppers in passata

Have logged it all and still have over 750 cals to play with (will be doing yoga DVD again as well as my run earlier, so will have more), which is good as have a lovely dry white wine chilling in the fridge for when I do my ironing tonight (do you get extra cals for ironing?)

and HELLO VACCA

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 12:10

Shiney, no am not veggie. Just have a load of Veggie faves from when I did Slimming World, Quorn is free on SW so I got very good at using it!

Vaca, where did you go on holiday? I only went an hour up the road and still put on 7lbs (not sure how much 2.5kg is ).

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 12:12

Have never had a QF that I know of...
use Quorn mince and swedish meatballs mainly.

VinegarTits · 05/08/2009 12:25

I have just heated frozen soup up in the microwave (i couldnt work out the defrost setting) will i be ill now?

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 12:35

No, VT, I wouldn't have thought so, I do that all the time.

Have searched and worked out what QF is, never had them, are they nice?

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 12:39

That's what I do with frozen soup VT.

Good call on 'are you r oneef' Shiney, it's what I was wondering

Tomato and mozzarella salad and twidlets for lunch (less than 100 cals in a multipack bag of twiglets).

bellavita · 05/08/2009 12:44

Trill - have I missed something? with the good call on.....

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 12:48

Thread about "poor people" Bella. It's quite long.

bellavita · 05/08/2009 12:56

Ah, I read the first page. Will go back and read the rest!
