I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

discuss the dynamics of the shiney group as you understand them, using examples of how your participation would affect the group

leaningtoweroflaundry · 04/08/2009 23:49

SycamoretreeIsFullOfResolve · 04/08/2009 23:58

Yes, Shiney, there is still half in the fridge - recipe is for 2 portions.

Was going to cook up the other half tomorrow but I am being take for lunch and dinner tomorrow by ex-work colleagues and associates so on the one hand, yay for swanky dates, on the other hand, oh god, Lady Weight Watcher is going to be flagellating me with a whip made of stringy bits from string beans.

So it's yours. Take it, enjoy it, but try not to throw up as it is a pizza made entirely without tomato and it's key ingredient is your favourite legume, Les Onions

You fry up sliced onion with garlic and rosemary, cover with greaseproof paper and pan lid for half an hour. Then stir in a tablespoon of capers and salt and pepper then spread on a thin and crispy pizza base. Dollop 60g of ricotta around the pizza and 8 anchovy halves (olive oil rinsed off) then back in oven on 200 (fan oven) for 10 mins.

I am guessing it's not one you'll be trying?

SycamoretreeIsFullOfResolve · 05/08/2009 00:28

Dances round thread like last saddo at the disco!

I really should be sleeping in anticipation of my 6am alarm in the shape of DS.

Instead I am ordering contact lenses and party bags online.

bellavita · 05/08/2009 00:31

Hey I am here - just winding down from work

Not really had a good day - friend came to lunch and I bought some lovely goats cheese and onion tarts from M&S, finished off with pavlova and then I made a victoria sponge for work and I had a slice (a small slice, but a slice all the same..)

When are the party bags for?

Morning, was woken up at 5.30am today as DH told DS1 that he could wake us up as soon as he got up as he had an early start, think he was meaning more 6.30am, durr.

Syc, that pizza sounds delish, will try that.
A silly question, but do you leave the heat on the onions once covered for 30 mins?

Feel achey after that yoga DVD, which must mean it's done something, yes?

alicecrail · 05/08/2009 08:14

Good morning all

Well done Shiney. Perhaps the stress helped

After my very good day yesterday and having 717 cals left and feeling very smug, gets to about 9pm and i feel like i am dying as i am so hungry so i had a yoghurt (although i was tempted by a hot chocolate and buttery toast)

I have had a big bowl of coco pops with whole milk for breakfast (i was sooooo hungry) but i will add it into FF.

Lunch will be leftover stuffed peppers and some grapes, and dinner will be lasagne (but no chips)

MotherPi · 05/08/2009 08:46

Loving the essay title, Laundry

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 08:50

Morning all.

Was out having RL last night, will try to catch up now.

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 08:59

No, I didn't have a lettuce leaf for dinner. I had pasta and wine.

But I'm being good today, cheerios and tea so far.

Morning. I'm going to try to catch up. Wasn't around yesterday as I was in a food grump. My mum is a very bad influence on me and she was around yesterday helping with the dc. Must try harder.....

Hope everyone's doing well....

SycamoretreeIsFullOfResolve · 05/08/2009 09:19

Morning all.

HUGE CONGRATS AND BUNTING A-PLENTY for Shiney and her weight loss. Hopefully that's the incentive you needed to get back on the wagon properly. Well done my lovely .

Bella - party is on 16th - a double bubble for DS and DD who turn 2 and 4 within 10 days of each other

Off out for most of today but wishing you all well.

wastingmyejumication · 05/08/2009 09:26

Morning! Well done Shiney!

Well, months ago I swore that when DS started sleeping through I would start getting up early to exercise and shower before he got up.
Yes, he sleeps through now, so I set my alarm and got up at 6, did ten minutes on the Wii Fit, which hadn't been out from under the sofa for months, and was showered and dressed before DS got up.
It's like something out of Invasion of the Bodysnatchers.
I feel really good though, so I'll keep at it. Demand explanations if I don't please!

harleyd · 05/08/2009 09:26

i neeeeeeeeeeeeed sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

morning all

TrillianAstra · 05/08/2009 09:54

Wow, that is both dedicated and insame wasting!

Lizzylou · 05/08/2009 09:55

Well done Shiney!
Hoping that my efforts will pay off as well, have already ran for 30 mins (am all sweaty and red faced and had to run past v fit young car valeter (sp) that next door neighbours always use , I normally at least brush my hair if he is around, he is a luurrvvely young man) and have been sticking within my FF limits.

Syc, my boys have birthdays within 10 days of each other also, and are 2 years apart. Joint Party all the way here as well.
