I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

Shiney - the series on at the moment is one from the USA, it's a group of very overweight people who compete at loosing weight. There are two fantastic trainers, who help them plan all their healthy meals etc and they work out about 6 hours a day Very compelling viewing. I love seeing them loose weight too. They usually drop around 7lbs each per week and it's amazing how quickly they all look so different.

We had such a nightmare with DD when she was a baby (nowhere bloody near sleeping through or going to bed on time at 11mths), that once we'd cracked it, that was it 7pm bedtime whether she liked it or not. DS is (so far) a great sleeper and goes around 6pm (still have to feed him through the night, but at least he doesn't then wake up for hrs on end like his sister did - bless her!).

Ate the tagliatelle et al and have to say, it was GORGEOUS! I just fancied something a tad more exotic tonight (but DH said no so I had to cook some good food instead )

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/08/2009 21:21

my tea is still sat in dish on table as i really could face eating tonight.

MotherPi · 04/08/2009 21:21

Evening

Bedtime is (THANK GOD) one of the very few things that work in this house, so usually they are both in bed by 7.30. Of course, I pay for this with 5.15 wakings .

Had planned on salad for lunch, but it was raining and the roasted veg, spinach and brie lasagne was calling out to me . Had it with salad, though, so that makes it ok, yes?

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/08/2009 21:41

i'd go with yes but my scales tell an interesting story. I am lucky as ds often sleeps to 8am but does regularly get up at 6am (not my favourite time of the day)

Anyone got some wise wisdom to get my tea eaten? Still not fancying it. Not even fancying chocolate at mo

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/08/2009 21:42

I think if you eat food with salad it cancels out all the other calories...

er no, wait, that's what got me into this wobbly mess in the first place!

harleyd · 04/08/2009 21:45
