I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

May I just tell you about my tea that I will be having later. Tagliatelle, prawns, garlic, courgettes and chopped tomato. I shall be having that with low fat garlic bread and a glass of wine.

I'm flaming starving and fantasising about it.

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/08/2009 18:50

Dc's in bed at 7pm. We are just trying to sit down to eat.

BitOfFun · 04/08/2009 18:55

Yum, sounds gorgeous! I am going for pasta and bolognese sauce tonight. smidge of parmesan. No wine

harleyd · 04/08/2009 19:03

just checking in quickly
will hopefully get back on tonite..been running round like a headless chicken for last few days
hoping to get flopping on settee later and just chill out

jetcat32 · 04/08/2009 19:23

mycat - that sounds gorgeous! I may have to play around on FF and input some ingredients to come up with a recipe

Well, for tea i have had a lovely pitta sandwich - my experiment with the chicken marinated in the piccallili worked well and it was lovely!!! I even managed to resist the french fancie that DD2 asked for then didnt eat It was really hard though - as is the box of them in the fridge

I have majorly upped the exercise for today, and just done some more exercises while tele is on. I hope that counts

I have been eating more or less the same for the past week, just not doing enough exercise. I would normally get weighed tomorrow at home, but not sure if i will, as my scales are different to GP, and i will only become disheartened. What do people think??

Jaquelinehyde · 04/08/2009 19:29

Evening all

LTR - I love biggest loser, I've watched every series so far (USA and UK) and I'm watching the series on sky real lives at the mo. I tend to sky+ it and then watch it back so I can forward through all the adds. Yay!

Today I have been almost saint like

Brekkie - Muler light and a banana

Lunch - light phili, lettuce, and cottage chese wholemeal roll. Muller light and banana

Dinner - Tuna nd pasta, lettuce, cucumber and beetroot. Not sure what I'm going to have as a sweet/desserty thing possibly another yogurt

My food stocks are running very low at the moment, we are desperately waiting for some money to come through so we can do a shop.

LovingTheRain · 04/08/2009 19:47

Same! The one on Sky one I watched last year but I loved that series so am re-watching. It's on in the day time though so i record and watch when the children are in bed I am loving the current on sky real lives too, although I had to look up who won and read who got elimiated each week as I like to know as I watch the series.

Jaquelinehyde · 04/08/2009 19:51

Ssshhhhhh don't tell me I hate to know ahead!

LovingTheRain · 04/08/2009 19:54

I won't
makes note to self to not mention any of the eliminations to Jaquelinehyde

Evening ladies

Jet - keep at the exercise, it will get easier i promise as long as you stick at it. When i first starting working in racing i was 20 and thought i was very fit, but by the second evening i was so sore and stiff i literally couldn't get out of my car!! I just had to keep at it and it was much easier after the first week (inspirational anecdote over

Shiney - i can't believe you missed me i am blowing you a great big kiss as you have made my day.

I seem to have been very good today as i have 717 cals left over!! I even added things like lettuce. I may have an ice cream cone later or some yoghurt, but if not i am planning on having lasagne tomorrow, so i am sure that will balance it out

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/08/2009 20:15

Well, both in bed (only 3 and 5 1/2 mths hence the attempt at 7pm bedtime, although DS had different ideas tonight) and am cooking said dinner and supping said wine.

Biggest Loser - is that the one on sky where they starve and pummel the contestents into losing weight?

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/08/2009 20:47

Mycat, my ds is only 4 1/2 and still up he has a sleep disorder thingy so sleep can be very rare in this house even during the night. we have just put in formal request for melatoni so it might occur more readily (suspect it might be month at least before we actually get it).

Suspect also that i need starving and pummeling into shape at mo.
