I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

£300? Yes. They are things of beauty.

LovingTheRain · 03/08/2009 22:36

I'd say go for it then! Will it match the colour scheme in your kitchen?

Jaquelinehyde · 03/08/2009 22:36

I feel loads better/different Shine. I have more energy, and feel positive about the future (from an image point of view).

It has had a massive effect on my life already. I've just got to keep the momentum going, and keep looking towards my goals.

It does sound like a bargain. And a perfect match for your colour scheme! Go for it - Go on, you know you want to!

Do it do it do it

My account is well empty right now, but you can't beat the pleasure of a good spend on something useful and beautiful, as William Morris used to say (sort of)...

Marthasmama · 03/08/2009 23:04

We have a Smeg fridge. It's about 4 years old and still looks fab. It does it's job, keeps stuff cold and is nice a big. It's not too tough to clean either.

I want this now. Mmmmmmmm sleek.

SycamoretreeIsFullOfResolve · 03/08/2009 23:57

Very very late evening ladies - had a mate round tonight so been gassing and drinking only one glass of wine.

Shiney - buy the fridge. We have the smeg in pale blue. Tis such a thing of beauty, I don't even care how good it is or isn't as a fridge freezer

Jac - DH posted your parcel yesterday second class . let me know when it arrives.
I'm as the penny had JUST dropped about your username....

Is it just me, or is there anyone else who hasn't yet twigged it...given her name isn't actually Jaqueline Hyde??? [massive thicko] (me not Jaq).

FlamingoBingo · 04/08/2009 08:09

Syc. I've always loved Jac's name - very clever indeed.

Jac - you are a bloody star! Keep going - you're doing fantastically!

Ok...here's the thing...I am no longer so enamoured of my diy hair cut

Thankfully it's still long enough I can just tie it back, but I'm going to have to fork out to get it cut by someone else if I'm ever to wear it down again, I think! Bugger! I just can't work out how to get it the way I want it.

Do either of you two ladies local to me know of somewhere/someone who doesn't cost an arm and a leg to cut hair?

Lizzylou · 04/08/2009 08:13

Aah, just worked out Jaq's name

Am a bit slow.

I did that DIY a while ago Flamingo, it was fine at first but the second time went wrong, so now I have a chin length bob (again). My hair is very fine and flyaway though so I think I need a hairdresser to sort it.

ellagrace · 04/08/2009 08:44

woo hoo! well done jaq (for when you get to see this) have to admit i'm a bit of a fan of the family size bags of maltesers, minstrels a close second favourite.

TrillianAstra · 04/08/2009 08:46

I am thick also Syc, people are called all sorts on here and I was just pleased it was (in-my-head) pronounceable. Didn't realise it was clever too.

alicecrail · 04/08/2009 08:52

Good morning

Shiney - i love the smeg fridges, but DH wouldn't let me get one beause the freezer isn't big enough (fair point really) I think you should get it

I have had jam on toast for breakfast and some apple juice, and i am spending this morning having a sort out so hopefully that will burn some calories and stop me snacking

VinegarTits · 04/08/2009 09:06

Can someone explain JH's name to me? i thought it was to do with Jeckyl and Hyde? no?

Shiney go for the fridge if it is going to be practical and big enough for you? dont just buy it for the brand, i couldnt live without my big ass american style fridge freezer because i couldnt live without the filtered water and ice dispeser, and a smeg would have been too small for me, freezer not big enough

SycamoretreeIsFullOfResolve · 04/08/2009 09:20

Yes, that's it VT, you were there from the beginning. It has taken me this long to get Jeckyll and Hyde....[tragic thicko]

VinegarTits · 04/08/2009 09:22

I did about 3 hours of gardening on Sunday (trimmed all my bushes and trees and weeded the drive) and my legs are effing killing me, like i have run a marathon, why? i didnt think gardening was even that strenuous, i just potted about leisurely and didnt even get out of breath
