I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

Jaqueline sounds like "Jekyll and..". That's it, right?

Freezer looks lovely. I am like VT, I hanker after a big one with full-height fridge and freezer bits and an ice-making thingy.

Morning everyone. I'm bloody knackered today. DS wanted feeding every 2 1/2 hrs last night from 11:30. I know BF is the best, but sometimes I'd really like to zip a boob off and pass it to DH just as I go to sleep and say 'the boobs are on you tonight kiddo'.

VinegarTits · 04/08/2009 09:34

Yes thats what i thought trill, about Jaqualine sounding like 'Jekyll and'

VinegarTits · 04/08/2009 09:39

How old is your ds bastardcat? have you tried expressing? i remember the days of 2 hr bf, i spend the first 3 months of ds in a sleep deprived haze, like i was an old drugged up hippy

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/08/2009 09:48

He's 5 1/2 mths old so last night was a bit unusual (usually does 3 1/2hrs after about 11:30, with a 5hr stretch from 6:30 til 11:30 at night). He is a big boy. I tried expressing with DD and, even though I was sleeping in pools of milk with her, I could only every get 2oz at most. With DS I've taken to co-sleeping which makes it easier, but last night took it out of me a bit.

He's a lot easier than DD was though, she was still doing this at 8 mths every night. Nearly killed me. I had to sleep train in the end (not CC though, just couldn't deal with the crying - me, not her ).

HolyGuacamole · 04/08/2009 09:59

Your children are beautiful shiney!! I didn't spot the celebs tho?! Or is it you that is the celeb?

Today,

lunch will be: salad with a boiled egg and another banana
dinner will be: salad, veggies and a vegetable tart

Will also try the arms workout later so will need to hunt down something in the house I can use as weights, cans of beans maybe?

loving the discussion about my name whilst I'm not here . I used to have to have a pseudonym in an old job and this was it

Syc I shall try and think of something equally suitable to post back in return. Thank you Mr Syc for posting

Off swimming now with kiddies, followed by aqua.

bellavita · 04/08/2009 10:50

shiney - it is not good skipping meals... get some breakfast down yer.

I have had the yoghurty breakfast this morning.

My oldest friend is coming over for lunch today - we have known each other since we were 9 years old!

I am doing some tart things from M&S and I know they are calorific - goats cheese and caramelised onion, with salad and new pots. I made a pavlova last night and will fill with whipped cream and berries.

Tea is a low fat prawn and rice dish from the good food website which is really yummy.

Only 3 shifts to go girlies then I am a free woman.

alicecrail · 04/08/2009 10:50

I have just spent over an hour sorting clutter and scrubbing every inch of DD's room. Would you consider that moderate or heavy cleaning?

Just having a cup of tea (really would KILL for a biscuit though)

bellavita · 04/08/2009 10:54

Moderate to heavy

TrillianAstra · 04/08/2009 11:01

Scrubbing is heavy (especially if on hands and knees) cos it makes you sweat. Sorting clutter is moderate.

alicecrail · 04/08/2009 11:03

So do you reckon i should have 45mins moderate, and 15mins heavy? I am totally knackered and fantasising about my lunch

wastingmyejumication · 04/08/2009 11:04

Well done on your weightloss Jaq!

I'm always pleased when old enemies get fat. Adding all my primary school bullies friends was very cathartic.

Alice - heavy cleaning, definitely.

TrillianAstra · 04/08/2009 11:36

Depends if you want to feel pleased with yourself or if you want to be actually accurate...

wastingmyejumication · 04/08/2009 12:27

Ooh, that's interesting! On Biggest Loser (US) they give contestants a cheat day after the weigh-in where they can have a high calorie meal. It keeps them motivated and gives something to look forward to, but also gives the metabolism a boost.

LovingTheRain · 04/08/2009 13:01

wastingmyejumication - you're talking about the Biggest Loser US! I love that show!! Am currently watching two series of it at the moment, one of Sky one (which I have seen before) and the new one on SKy Real lives
