I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

One 'l' VT

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 13:16

Nope i tried that, i ticked unbranded, and just entered the word 'chilli', it came up with nothing grrr

TrillianAstra · 03/08/2009 13:17

How many chillis are you using to have to log them? They have the same cals as a red pepper, okay? 40 cals per 100g. There is no way you're using enough for it to be worth it.

LOL at you lot scarig newbies by saying I am strict. I'm not the drill-seargeant here.

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 13:18

chili? since when has chilli been spelt with one 'L'?? is that the American way to spell it, god i hate that grrr

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 13:18

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 13:20

Found it, thankyou MotherPI, 1 chili pepper raw, 18 cals

TrillianAstra · 03/08/2009 13:26

I am naughty and leave loads of things out when I log meals, I just pretend they have no calories and just log the big ingredients.

Really should go into work, but want to read and catch up first...

jetcat32 · 03/08/2009 13:27

not quite ella - at my first weigh in, my GP had set me a target of 4.5kg, but i actually lost 8kg - just under 18lbs. Not bad for 4 weeks

Somehow i dont think this 4 week period will be as good though - as been stuck in the house for most of the time and not taking DD2 for our lovely long walks

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 13:33

motherpi - lol no but there is uber cheap pilates workout dvd that i got online that does make you sweat and work pretty damn well on the calorie burning and shaping up

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 13:34

good thing with a bit of exercise - like yoga or pilates is that i find it can quickly make you look slimmer just by doing a bit of toning and having fast effect on posture

LovingTheRain · 03/08/2009 13:34

harleyd - I always try and do my shopping about 11pm as it's not busy and I don't have to take the children with me. Plus, all the shelves have been restocked I love shopping when hardly anyone's there!

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 13:34

wow jetcat! bloody good start!

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 13:38

Well i have just added chillies(18) garlic(9), coriander(10), spring onions(24) and fish sauce(36) to my meal and they come to nearly a 100 cals, of course the whole meal will be split into portions, but i think every calorie counts if you want to do it properly

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 13:41

Oh and i forgot to add limes(20) to that, so thats about 120 cals i would have missed buy thinking they are probably neligable

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 03/08/2009 13:42

wow jet cat...good for you....

wow all very precise. i'm just aiming not to overeat and eat trash regularly. but i get scared of doing 'too strict' on the food because i won't be able to sustain it

i know it's over eating and eating crap that makes me put on weight, not eating crap and doing more exercise that makes me lose it.

VT have you got much weight to lose? find it difficult to lose? sorry don't know where you're at

MotherPi · 03/08/2009 13:51

Am about to give blood. How many calories in a pint, do you reckon?
