I think this is thread 10. We are an unruly bunch of MNetters trying to shed a lot a little or just some pounds through a variety of methods. Others just trying to eat healthily.

Newcomers most definitely welcome, just be advised the post rate is insane so be sure to check in regularly!

Our hostess Ms Diamond will be along soon I'm sure.

Shiney and VT!!!! I cut my own hair! And DD1's and DD2's!

Mine looks ok-ish, but is verging on a mullett!!! What am I doing wrong?

is it like this flamingo

FlamingoBingo · 03/08/2009 11:51

It's not so mullett-y now - I put it in the pony tail again and did lots more feathering. It's not anything like as bad as some of the professional haircuts I've had - I think it was just that the layers were too blocky - it's more even now.

I'm happy with it, and looking forward to getting enough practice to get it shorter...maybe even get a fringe

Are you pleased with yours?

harleyd · 03/08/2009 11:51

just flying thru
gotta trail 4 kids round stresco

FlamingoBingo · 03/08/2009 11:52

How did you find that photo of me, Harley!????? I only just uploaded it!

FlamingoBingo · 03/08/2009 11:53

Do it online, Harley! You are mad taking them with you

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 11:54

Phew, FB i was about to deny all knowledge of MN haircuts, glad its turned out ok now

I am afraid that in a moment of weakness, i bought myself a wispa bar however, i haven't eaten it yet, it is in my fridge being all cool and bubbly and chocolatey. I think i will have it after my lunch, but will eat it very slowly so i enjoy every mouthful.....mmmm....wispa

I will make sure i tell FF about it though and just eat lettuce leaves for the rest of the day

Oops, where are my manners? Hello newbies

I am alice (quite a newbie) this is now my 4th thread (i think) and i am 5ft3(and a half!) weigh 10st3(ish)(bmi 25.3 i think) and i want to get down to 9st10 (bmi 24.1) I am using food focus and i am just trying to start eating a bit more sensibly(sp?) (I also have MN dyslexia ) My excercise consists of running around after my toddler and doing all the stuff that comes with having 2 horses.

I had just remembered that syc thought it might be a good idea to re-introduce ourselves ad our goals

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 03/08/2009 12:13

Not sure I can keep up with you super posters on here. Think I'll just have to be a random poster and watch with admiration from the sidelines.

Chickened out of going to WW today (stood on my scales and looks like I've stayed the same).

V brave of you to cut your own hair. Whenever I've attempted that I look like my 3yr old did it for me.

Marthasmama · 03/08/2009 12:15

Did she Alice? Better do as I'm told then

Hello I'm new too. This is my third thread. I am 5ft 3 and weigh 13st 12 and my long term goal is to get back to 7st 10. I'll be happy once I am under 10st in the medium term and in the short term I will be happy when the scales start moving in the right direction.

FlamingoBingo · 03/08/2009 12:15

Shiney - have you got any hair pics online yet?

Alice - good point. Ok. I'm FlamingoBingo and I think I joined the 3rd thread so I'm on my 7th now . I'm 5'1" and started out at 11st 1lb, and I'm now at 10st 4lb using food focus and running. I want to get down to 8st 9lb.

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 12:16

hola - hello to those i met last night and hello to those i've not

FlamingoBingo · 03/08/2009 12:16

MyCat - don't chicken out of going! Keep attending - it'll keep you motivated. Don't only go when you think you've lost weight. Is it too late for you to go now?

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 12:17

about to break the fast and eat something wondering whether to go for little snack or have a filling meal and aim to only eat little later

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 12:18

(cut my own hair most of the time - only did it to my poor ds once though!)

jetcat32 · 03/08/2009 12:20

morning all

a brief intro - i am jetcat, having a load to lose (but am breaking into 2 stone lots so not quite as scary so taking xenical to boost the willpower!!

Been healthy eating since 1st July, and have had some success so far! Have 4 weekly weigh ins at GP, next one 3.5 weeks away

Having been couped in the house for nearly two weeks now, apart from the odd very brief trip out, i am going stir crazy. DD1 desp wants to see Ice Age 3 - do you think if we go the other cinema goers wont mind when she has a coughing fit with the associated retching I can try and get her to only do it at the loud bits

VinegarTits · 03/08/2009 12:20

I'm having Thai noodles for lunch (again)

ellagrace · 03/08/2009 12:24

just put some edam between two slices of unbuttered bread - am getting used to just having something fairly bland sometimes and seeing food as functional rather than always having to be tasty or something i really fancy
