i want to stop smoking but its the only time i really get to myself. i tell dp im going into room (spare room that baby is never in) for a fag and can he keep an eye on dd. if i go through to use pc dp always shouts me cos he cant cope but if im having a smoke then he doesnt.

Am I allowed on this thread? I'm an ex smoker, and I gave up on 1 Jan 2004, but I'm still chewing nicotinel, I'm on about 10 a day, more when I drink, and I just can't give up

i'm from lancs MLL but have a load of scottish relatives through ex DP and my best buddy is scottish

I know we have to be honest but oh my word I actually feel guilty for having the cig yesterday and CC I completley understand where it can all slip from that one fag.

yep MLL are babies are very cute at this age I love the curiousity and cheeky ness at this age it makes me giggle

it's with sharps the bedroom designing. They are lovely rooms, but I know I shouldn't say it, but they are way to pricey IMO

yup that lung feeling thats the main thing i miss too but again with the gum u get the tingly stingy feeling at the bk of ur throat just like haveing a cig.... God non smokers reading this must think i'm bloody mad lol to say we miss that lmao

Haven't read this thread but have given up smoking - many many mnay times - am total expert

finally went to an Alan Carrs Easy Way clinic - 5 hours long.

it was the easiest way I had tried and it was about 3 ish months ago now and I have only really had 2 cravings. both when i was out and had had a few drinks

its a cliche, but it does work, so if you've fallen off the wagon think about it. Its 295 quid though - but worth it - for me that was about 2 months of fags only.

another good thing that i'm trying to think about MLL is thinking bk to all that money we have wasted over the years god i could of had about 10 cars by now it helps me get angry when thinking about that

hiya ive been ill so ive had two days without a fag. I had no intention of giving up but now i know i can go this long and not craving one i am going to carry on. I smoked around 15 a day when ever ds was asleep i would run to the garden and have two in a row to make up for it! Time to give up, i just don't want to over-eat in the process and get fat... so i am dieting as well.. see how it goes!

i know MLL DP's dad quit about 15 yrs ago after smoking with no aids and i'm in complete awe of him at the mo.... and of u to coping without aid, well rememeber when eventually this yuk horrid feeling goes, u will never have to go through it again, as u have the knowledge now even if it's 10 yrs down the line and we spark another one we will eventually get bk in this state as we are today. I have gained this knowledge now from u on what u just told me about when u quit for 2 yrs... coz i'm telling u if I hadn't read that I bet u any money I would of done it too so fankoo

Seems although theres a few suffering theres no failers today so that is great.....MLL...cook the dinner and then go and sit somewhere by yourself for 5 mins....as a nonsmoker you have to remeber to take time out for yourself or you end up feeling like a pressure cooker just about to explode...I do anyway!
Star shaker...dont tell dp youve stopped and get a book tucked away in that spare room...you can continue to enjoy your 5 mins peace without the fag.
