Nah, just let him look like a loon

How old is he?

Go out and buy some crayola washable felt-tips - they are the best things since sliced bread! Then he can colour in his body to his heart's content - they come off really easily, and wash out of clothes etc.

Harley, DS2 (9) draws on himself sometimes - not sure why he does it (in fact he does a lot of things that really puzzle me ). Is it on his face?

Sycamoretreeisvile · 20/06/2009 09:16

Welcome SUPERBUNNY!

Sorry - so wrapped up in my own sleep deprivation crisis I didn't notice your post at first read of the thread.

We are not quite the 10/10 thread that's for sure, so you will be in good company here

Thread is working for us - good support, good bit a chat and a larf and a stern talking to when necessary (mostly from me )

How much do you want to lose? Are you doing Food Focus or WW or anything?

We are all denominations here...

harleyd · 20/06/2009 09:17

not on his face, thankfully, but neck, tummy, arms, legs. one ear...he'll be 3 in sept

sazzles, im starting the potty training this week

flamingobingo · 20/06/2009 09:21

I'm going out for pizza with DH tonight - special treat. I've planned today's food around it.

Breakfast of oatibix bites (that's the same as every day)

Two ham sandwiches for lunch

And that's it. And I'm still going to be 269 over my 1500 limit. But 271 cals under my cals burned...and of course I've got my 500 cals leeway for the bfing. And I might go for a run today...

I've put off breakfast for as long as possible so I don't get too hungry and lunchtime and eat too much! But now I'm starving so am going to give in and eat now

Have a lovely time Flamingo. We have got my parents here from lunchtime today. I am doing cajun chicken and salad for tea with pavlova for afters. Am ok with the chicken and salad, but it is the pavlova and wine that is worrying me. We are also going to have a rare indian take away tomorrow night, so I think I am going to have to really starve myself tomorrow. Have got on the scales this morning and I am just not moving in the right direction . I can do this I know I can, have done it many a times before without actually going to ww meetings. Maybe I am not being honest enough with myself or perhaps my portion sizes are still too big. I try and pad my plate out with extra veg or salad, but just sometimes there is a limit to how many times I can do that.

I think it is only fair that I reveal my lurkiness on your thread. You all sound lovely and inspiring - but lordy you are prolific posters and there's no way I can keep up properly!

Here's my sorry tale: DD is 9 months old and I have been trying to lose weight over the last 6 months in a desperate bid to (a) be sexy and active, and (b) be fit enough to have another baby before I am totally ancient and past it. I was overweight when I got PG, then disaster struck and I ended up in a wheelchair and bed bound with SPD so stacked on even more weight. Consequently I was 96 kg (15st 2) after DD was born! I have now lost 18 kg (2st 12) but it has plateaued in the last month as I had to have my appendix out and can't really do any exercise until my tummy heals properly. I am feeling quite down about it at the moment. I have another 10 kg to lose. I'd really appreciate some support. Do you lot weigh yourselves? I could do with someone to make me accountable for this!

By the way, I love the sub-plot about Shiney's christian gentleman caller. Unfortunatley I haven't managed to catch up on the last 20 pages or so. What's the latest?

Thanks Sazzles, DH is supportive. But my Mum on the other hand (who is I would say morbidly obese) thinks I am mad at wanting to lose a little bit of weight. In her eyes, I am skinny. Think I need to a) get my bike out, not just look at it but ride it and b) get on the wii fit.

Welcome PonyMum, gosh, you have had a lot going on... you will find a lot of support on here - the girls are just full of loveliness and fabulousness.

bellavita · 20/06/2009 10:06

at Mistle - well done

mistlethrush · 20/06/2009 10:08

Sazzles - I know - but I'm going to a wedding in July and want to feel somewhat better about myself for that, none of my clothes fit properly, I've got the two sizes lower already, I know I can do it and I want to give myself a really good start. If I can at least shift a good amount in the first month or so, I won't feel so worried about going down to a lower level of loss when it starts slowing down. Based on FF I might get there next April!

flamingobingo · 20/06/2009 10:10

2lb this week! That's 4.8lb in two weeks. My first goal is 7lb so I should definitely have lost my first half stone in two weeks time

mistle that's amazing! you must be eating air!

pony welcome!

Mornign all, hi newbies.

I am having orange juice and the yoghurt-coated raisins from my graze box. Those things aren't half expensive (in calories as well as in money).

Going to a BBQ this afternoon but I will try to stick to lean meats on skewers and vegetables on sticks - food on sticks is tastier!!!

I will weigh-in on Monday. Weight loss so far is unknown. First week I may have lost 2lbs but it's hard to tell cos I changed scales. Second week nada (btu I did have a big-eating weekend) and this week probably 1 lb, which is what have FF set to, so that's fine. MY total aim is only about half a stone (I think I said 9 lbs on FF) so it's not going to cmoe off quickly because I'm not technically overweight.

VinegarTits · 20/06/2009 10:49

I am going to start taking thing more seriously from now on

It could have been worse, im not too disappointed as i know i have been naughty

Start again on Monday. Onwards and upwards.
