Poor Vinegar and Poor Humph.

I have to sign off now as DH is wanting to watch DOUBT....and I kind of want to see it too. Anyone see it at the cinema?

I think I will have to concentrate....

I love you all. And if I win the lottery tomorrow, the liposuctions on me

DesperateHousewifeToo · 19/06/2009 22:03

Thankyou Syc. from the few posts I have read in this thread, I am just not worthy enough to join. (Had a curry and a mini magnum tonight)

Although I did embarass myself at bootcamp again this morning and so will be hobbling around the fete tomorrow.

I may work myself up to joining your lively thread, you never know.

I have to say to everyone that Syc looks fab. I'm very envious of her slinky new haircut

VinegarTits · 19/06/2009 22:04

I will have to make do with paracetemol, enjoy your film syc, never seen it

If i win the lottery, i will still MN from Barbados, so you wont miss me

vacaloca · 19/06/2009 22:19

Bloody hell that strawberry tart was amazing. I will probably have to take up street dance or whitewater rafting next week to make up for it, but it will have been worth it.

Much sympathy to VT and HC. I happen to have some magic sprinkles in my pocket if you want some. never go anywhere without them.

Sycamoretreeisvile · 19/06/2009 22:55

at Desperate...

Well, we're here if you ever feel the urge!

Vinegar - have left DH watching the film...that's 30 mins of my life I'll never get back.

Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman playing a nasty nun and a suspect priest...

Not sure what happens next, but something bad, presumably but 30 mins in and whatever it was still had not occurred.

vaca - is it you that lives almost next door to a place that sells strawberry tarts as well?

There seems to be a strawberry tart theme emerging on this thread.

BitOfFun · 19/06/2009 23:45

Love the cupcakes! Hardly an incentive to abstain though...

Oi Shiney, I will be back tomorrow to bang on until you weep, I warn you!

TrillianAstra · 19/06/2009 23:46

OOoh, Poor VT sounds horrible.

Have decided not to look up mastitis right now, don't want to know any more than I already do, so and ooooh for that too.

Beer. 3 pints of it. Then prawn crackers and noodles. But I didn't eat much all day (for me anyway) so I think FF will forgive me. I may still be under my total burn amount, even if I am over my gosl for today.

Muffins/cakes look very yummy. But I think they might need a few more e-numbers. can you do hidden e-numbers in your cakes like Jamie Oliver does hidden veggies in his pasta sauce?

TrillianAstra · 19/06/2009 23:48

I thought Shiney said you were just banging BoF, not banging on. I guess it's good exercise and all...

BitOfFun · 20/06/2009 00:01

Well, that's a reasonable theory on the exercise front in my book...hey ho- I've just noticed that there is a programme on More4 about big penises, so do excuse me

TrillianAstra · 20/06/2009 00:04

UNfortunately FordFOcus doesn't have a category for that...

bellavita · 20/06/2009 00:38

Hi ladies

Mistle - those are just the sort of reasons I need for the app !

Lovely cupcakes Syc - you are a natural.

Humph - hope you feel better soon.

No more dates this weekend Shiney?

Trill - what sort of job are you doing next week?

I just love this thread...

SuperBunny · 20/06/2009 00:42

Hello

I got fatter than I was meant to and I need to lose weight. I hang out on the 10/10 thread but seem to not actually DO 10/10. So... maybe coming here will help?

Morning all.

Humphrey hope you're feeling better today, but if not, do you know what to do with mastitis? Feed, feed, and feed some more. You need to keep the milk flowing and your breasts empty. Express if you can't feed enough. I've got more tips if you need them.

syc your cakes look amazing! Well done! They look like the sort of concoction my children come up with - although usually the sponge is also coloured with food colouring, either pink or green

Superbunny you need to eat fewer calories than you consume to lose weight, basically. Some of us use weight-watchers or slimmers world. Others (like me) are cheapskates and use Ford Focus to count calories and log exercise. You put your current and goal weight in and it tells you how many calories to eat a day with graphs and everything!

I enjoy working out where I can 'save up' my calories so I can 'afford' a treat! A tip - only aim to lose 1lb a week, otherwise it'll tell you you can only consume one apple a day, or something ridiculous like that!

I find this thread a godsend in motivating me to keep going - like a virtual weight watchers! Join us!

I'm weighing in this morning when my parents get here with their super-dooper scales. I've got my fingers crossed. Bets? DH reckons 2.2lb, I think 1.5lb. I've stuck religiously to my allowed 1500 cals this week and am actually allowed 500 more for bfing but haven't used them. And have kept up my running. So whaddya think?

You got that nappy off that girl of yours yet?

Yes, same scales, same time, same day.

Sycamoretreeisvile · 20/06/2009 07:40

Morning gang. Hope Humph and Vinegar are feeling better today.

I have been up since 4.45am

I think I may have to post for some advice.

DS is just non returnable to bedable once he's woken. I rapid returned him for an our like some kind of demented woman on groundhog day. Sent DH upstairs to attic room to finish his nights sleep (worst luck I was on duty tonight).

He does sometimes do 6 or 7am, but he's in a real phase of 4.30-5.30am at the moment. I'm all of a dither because DD was never like this and good as gold, and she would also never get out of bed - just call out to us. In fact, she's only just started to get herself out of bed in a morning and she's almost 4.

Thus have had coffee with only available full fat milk and two slices of medium wholemeal toast one with marmite to be good and the other with jam as I just needed the sugar and caffeine this morning.

Right, off to remove cupcakes from profile as are highly inappropriate for the thead - apologies

Sycamoretreeisvile · 20/06/2009 07:43

Oh, but thanks for all the nice comments re the cakes.

That's obviously what I was fishing for after 2 hours slavery in the kitchen

Now I am validated as a mother by my peers I can happily ponce down to the fete with them with my head held high

flamingobingo · 20/06/2009 07:44

Oh syc

Stupidly early mornings are the pits!

Tell us where your advice thread is when you post it so I can muscle join in.

OP posts:
Sycamoretreeisvile · 20/06/2009 07:56

Thanks Flamingo - am going to post in WWYD I think.

Title will be somethin like DS 22 months waking earlier than a monk on the early shift.

Got to get DD her brekka now, but will post afterwards.

Sycamoretreeisvile · 20/06/2009 08:09

My sleep thread here

Take pity or come for some solidarity if you're in a similar boat.

Hi all

Welcome to SuperBunny.

Oh Syc I don't think I could cope with those early mornings... you must be really exhausted. I am not sure what to say as both mine have been relatively good sleepers. The times when they did get up early, I brought them into our bed - not the answer I know, but it really wasn't that many times.

harleyd · 20/06/2009 08:45

morning
i woke up this morning to the vision of ds2 coloured from head to toe in green and black felt tip
arent children just wonderful

flamingobingo · 20/06/2009 08:54

harley my DD3 went through a very long phase of being obsessed with drawing on herself a few months ago. I spent my life being desperately embarrassed to be out with her, but battling her to clean it off was more trouble than it was worth!
