For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

whereabouts were you Guad? It does sound wondefully bucolic and idyllic.
I have a had an embarasasingly bad f&v day today as we visited a nearby town's special feast day and have been troughing on burgers and ice creams mostly. Nice, farmer's burgers, honest!
Dinner ill involve salsa and salad but not enough to warrant anywhere near 10.
Oh I wish I lived somewhere with decent trains - I so want to come!

mollyroger · 13/06/2009 17:17

ds1 has made us ROFL today. he was talking about buying some computer game. we said it was too expensive and he agreed there were other, much more important things he wanted to buy. Like what?
''a monkey with a samurai sword''
Why on earth?
''To take the blame...''

WTF??

Guadalupe · 13/06/2009 17:22

About 8 miles from Hay-on-wye, fairly near Abervagenny and other places I can't remember. I think the village is called Newton or something, though you can't see anything from the barn. It has great thick walls and ancient beams and a double height window at the front so the light is fab.

I wish you were coming too. Can't believe it's been a year nearly since Solfest. I told ds your ds got into terminator. He's very envious and wants to see it, though he could be doing anything for all I know atm. I haven't seen him since this morning though I didn't give him a time. All his friends have phones. We haven't got to that stage yet.

Vegi sushi
mango

I bought some things in Topshop today. I felt like an old hag.

FrayedKnot · 13/06/2009 17:49

Oh Guad

You are so not an old hag

[wait 'til you're nearly 40]

The holiday sounds fantastic. And you didn;t throw keys ina hedge by the sound of it! fab!

I hope everyone makes it tomorrow, and sorry that some can;t. Molly you live too darn far away! Has anyone heard from Boco?

It's been really hot here today and tomorrow forecast to be hotter I think.

We have to do a slighty weird train combo tomorrow but it shouldn;t take us longer than it would coming the "normal" way, we just have to keep jumping on and off them .

SuperBunny · 13/06/2009 17:54

I wondered about keys in the hedge too

FrayedKnot · 13/06/2009 18:54

Mind you I'd be scared of shopping in Top Shop.

Hi SB, how's things?

SuperBunny · 13/06/2009 18:57

Things are ok. I have been shredding paperwork. I may have been a little overzealous

It's bloody freezing here - usually by June it is sweltering and I am complaining about needing 2 showers a day but it is still wet and I need socks and a jumper on inside. Perhaps this is preparing me for the UK.

I have been looking at property porn.

Please eat some cake for me tomorrow, FK.

FrayedKnot · 13/06/2009 19:04

I would eat cake for you every day, SB, if you wanted me to

SuperBunny · 13/06/2009 19:14

That's very kind of you, FK

pointydog · 13/06/2009 19:14

banana
apple & mango juice
onions (lots, in onion soup)
carrots
houmus
strawberries

pointydog · 13/06/2009 19:15

I had lunch out but it wasn';t very vegetably. Wine, though. Am heavy headed

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2009 19:16

i am 95% sure i am ovulating
bah

SuperBunny · 13/06/2009 19:20

I had lunch at home and it wasn't vegetably. In fact it was pasta with butter and black pepper

Banana (on toast)

SuperBunny · 13/06/2009 19:21

How do you know you are ovulating, Fran?

Guadalupe · 13/06/2009 19:23

What's wrong with pvulating? Are you hand rubbing in a doorway?

I really was twice as old as lots of people in there. There is great scope for feelings of hagginess!

Chilli chicken ramen and a raw salad. I have given up wheat as of today, which might balls up cake eating tomorrow, or it might be a good thing, who knows.

pointydog · 13/06/2009 19:24

I would only go into top shop with the dds. I would feel saggy and horrid otherwise.

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2009 19:28

well just it's quite convenient not to menstruate for a while
but looks like i shall be dusting off the moonbucketcup

bunny i've got ovulation pains
no hand rubbing luckily / unfortunately!

SuperBunny · 13/06/2009 19:29

I've never had ovulation pains. Does it make your ovary hurt? Just the one?

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2009 19:29

i have to whoosh in and out of topshop before i can think about it, or see how many decades older than everyone else i am

actually there is nearly always at least one other hag in there so i don't care
cod used to say a klaxon went off when anyone over 30 went in

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2009 19:31

yes just on one side - like a popping kind of sharp hurtiness
ds2 only fed once in the night last night so i reckon that i've had my chips

Guadalupe · 13/06/2009 19:32

Ah, that's what that funny noise was. I wanted some jeans and I like the colour of theirs. They are a bit tight though.

I see, this is your first ovulation since having ds2? That's been quite a while hasn't it.

I always knew, felt like someone was dinging my ovary like a bell.

pointydog · 13/06/2009 19:33

I ordered a top in white stuff's online sale. Why do they only have size 8 Long in most of their clothes? And that wasn't even the sale stuff. Why can't they get proper stock in?

Guadalupe · 13/06/2009 19:34

There was a really nice range of bras in House of Fraser today, and they only make them in A or B cup. I don't get that.

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2009 19:34

yes dinging like a bell is a good description
ds2 is nearly 11 months - my periods stopped for over a year with ds1

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2009 19:35

i can't get anything with long sleeves to fit me
you can get daft long leg sizes but not daft long arm sizes, it seems
