Wake Pea Up Before you Goji - 10/10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think the was for Franny's own memory, flappy, not for you suggesting a title.

How are you for snacks, btw? There's a great new craze, called Graze...

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2009 18:57

LOL I think i may have lost you a customer guad
i have never had anyone fly off the handle at me for so little reason before [bewildered]

FlappyTheBat · 19/06/2009 18:59

Wake Pea up before you Goji made me as I thought it was a really clever thread title.

I thought up "I'm your Yam" to continue with the Wham theme of titles, I'm too unhealthy to join in 10/10 threads much to my as I know exactly what I should be eating thanks to all the studying I have done.

Your face implied that I had no right in thinking up titles for future threads, that's all.

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2009 19:01

Flappy it didn't! I was hmming at my inability to remember the title that i wanted to have next

i thought it was cool you came on and suggested one, honest guv
you misread me, sorry it upset you

FlappyTheBat · 19/06/2009 19:05

I'm sorry, toddler screaming, 4 year old driving me nuts and 2nd weekend of being on my own for 7 months.

I took your post the wrong way

SuperBunny · 19/06/2009 19:07

Oh Flappy, really... Franny was ing at herself. We love when people visit us here and suggest thread titles.

SuperBunny · 19/06/2009 19:08

It took me so long to post that and everything is ok now. Good

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2009 19:10

god don't worry! i am just glad you came back and realised
2nd weekend of being on your own for 7 months? what's happening?

pointydog · 19/06/2009 19:10

which cereal bars have a portion of fruit in them? Wouldn't mind buying them.

Re our school dinners - they are var good! Quite a lot of veg and fruit on offer but I keep my price down by sticking to one course and I usually go for the meat, potatoes and veg option or pasta and the plates are fairly small.

Gawd, listent o me. I stick up for our dinners because our cook is brilliant at sneaking in extra veg for the kids.

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2009 19:12

dh in forces and not back until end of the year, but it is almost bedtime here so will lose short temper very soon!

If I'm allowed too, although after jumping to wrong conclusion understandable if answer no, would like to stick around as I find it all too easy to fall into bad habits when dh is away.

pointydog · 19/06/2009 19:16

what an incredibly bouncy happy site. Must be all that rawness and fruitness

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2009 19:21

don't be daft, of course stay
we are nice really and we need people who can make up wham titles

sorry about dh
i would find that v difficult

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2009 19:23

pointy they are tasty - in fact i think i will have one now

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/06/2009 19:23

Yes, the nakd bars are nice. I like the cocoa ones, but not the berry or apple ones (too sweet). The single bars are 2 portions and the ones in a multipack are 1 portion.

Stick around Flappy. But you MUST follow the rules and read the OP otherwise you'll get thrown in the pit. We're great at finding ways to sneak in extra f&v portions.

Must be tough with your dh being overseas.

Singing Guava, Guava, Guava, Guava shout it. Or something like that, it was Born Slippy.

Wham always reminds me of my sister and I dancing around in her room with our bad perms and being totally in love with George Michael

pointydog · 19/06/2009 19:28
