For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Anorak sounds interesting but they should vall it something that sounds a bit less geeky

TooTicky · 17/06/2009 23:10

Oh SB, that is annoying!!

I hadn't thought about the title. It would just be nice to have a choice of an interesting comic rather than the ususl diabolical girls selection. I like the fact that it's unisex.

Sorry you can't sleep, SB.

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 09:02

we had anorak and it was good but odd
there was another one that was also good, will try to remember name

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 09:03

we had this also but i wanted the stories to be a little bit better
ds really liked it though - they will send free copy if you write to them

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 09:47

i have got my doula and my homeopath coming round for lunch
i think this may be the ponciest thing that has happened to me yet

ahundredtimes · 18/06/2009 10:13

Lordy Fra. The pressure is on

Hope dp is feeling better Boco. Has he really got swine flu?

TooTicky · 18/06/2009 10:41

The quality of children's magazines makes me very cross.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 12:28

they came early thank god and not for lunch
i was in conniptions about the lunch - one of them only eats raw food or something

i made her herbal tea and she left it! she tasted it and then left it! what was wrong with it? i didn't dare ask
gi
od i am not cut out for this level of ponciness

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 12:31

this is other magazine we had - okido
i think this one was even odder than anorak, but i can;t find either of them and i can;t remember
one of them also carried some pretty full on trendy children's clothes adverts
it was all very odd and very amusing and ds1 liked them a lot, but they were just that bit expensive to get regularly

Tatties · 18/06/2009 13:17

Hey veggers! Sounds like you had a lovely meet, I am sorry I missed you.

Boco oh no about dp! I was looking on my surgery's website yesterday as ds wasn't well and it was advising to manage potential swine flu cases at home to avoid spreading it. I would call GP for advice if I was worried

I think I owe some people emails

Guadalupe · 18/06/2009 13:27

Hi Tatties!

Yes, Okido was the other one. I read about them in poncetastic Junior. I ordered anorak yesterday and annoyingly saw it this morning in Borders and I had paid one pound postage. Oh well.

I have two Graze friends. Yippee! Thank you, though I think one must be SB? I am finding it very exciting for some reason. Come on the rest of you, Graze, here it is.. 7QQY2J9 Fresh fruit and snacks for free. Tasty tasty.

Molly - you can go again next week.

Guadalupe · 18/06/2009 13:30

Lol at the double ponce lunch. I always see my doula at art school private views. I am sure she will always remember me for being the only person in 25 years who didn't feel like ringing her when it came to it.

littlerach · 18/06/2009 13:42

at lunch, Fran.

Hope dp is ok Boco.

Dh has gone ot his cousin's dh's funeral todat
he was only early 40's

Timmy TwiTch has been burrowing
I think he is trying ot break free.

Dd2 went to her friend's for tea yesterday and told them some rather incredible stories about us
Most of which were untrue.
Fortunatley the mum is a friend

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 13:50

ds1 was on fine form as they tend to be when you really don't need strife
he remembered that about 3 days ago i had promised him some sweets
then sat sucking VERY LOUDLY INDEED i mean so that you could hardly have a conversation - it was impressive really
i asked him to desist
he declined
i said "it's your choice, you can either eat it quietly or go in another room"
he said "there is a third choice, that you haven;t said, which is ignore you and stay here and carry on sucking loudly. And that's the one i am going to do."

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2009 13:53

THANK GOD FOR GRAZE
my graze box turned up in the middle and i of course opened it and swanked about it
so hopefully they will think "wow she is so healthy she has fruit DELIVERED to her house by post in a little BOX"
and not "gawd her rude sugar frenzied children and that minging tea she tried to make me drink"

WHAT was wrong with the tea? I beg someone to tell me. She chose the flavour and everything. what was it. i will wake up at 4 am shouting, i know it

TigerFeet · 18/06/2009 14:29

Oh Franny, sorry but lol, that's exactly the sort of thing that dd would say . We were round at a friend's yesterday, I wouldn't let her play on the trampoline because it was raining and the trampoline was wet (PFB) so she said."I am going to sit here and look sad Mummy, because you have made me sad". And that's exactly what she did, she sat on the floor and stuck her bottom lip out. Friend was in stitches

Hope dp is OK Boco

Poor dh LR

Blueberries, mango, melon, strawberries, grapes [3]
Celery, pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese [2]

More veg later
And probably orange juice

Will probably manage 8 or 9 in total today

I had my stitches out from my arm thing yesterday. Seems to be healing well but I will have a scar in an Igor stylee.

off to do some actual work now, ttfn

ahundredtimes · 18/06/2009 14:35

She only drinks boiled water which is either from a glass bottle or from a water filter. She never drinks boiled tap water.

She was nervous, and said 'yes, I'd love the Mistle Yarrow foot' tea please, in that way you do when it is the one tea you hate.

You handled the tea bag, and she has isshoes

She hated the mug. She's always hated those mugs and can't drink from them

She didn't want the tea after all

She forgot to say she likes Mistle Yarrow tea with seven sugars but was embarrassed to ask for it

She hates herbal tea and was dying for a strong espresso but didn't want to offend.

TigerFeet · 18/06/2009 14:41

Send me a teabag Fran, I'll give it a taste test for you

mollyroger · 18/06/2009 15:05

lol 100 - i was going to say she really wnated builder's strength Tetley tea with 3 sugars but didn't dare blow her cover in front of you...secretly she thinks all herbal tea smells and tastes of wee.

TooTicky · 18/06/2009 15:22

What sort of tea was it Franny? I am summat of an expert...(and a fusspot but not usually where herbal tea is concerned)

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 18/06/2009 16:15

ROFL at the third choice.

I think she burnt her lip on the first sip because you were too distracted by ds1 to put that essential dash of cold and after that it tasted funny so she left it.

SuperBunny · 18/06/2009 16:45

Yep, I am your graze friend, Guad. I wonder who the other one s.

Guad, why didn't you rind your Doula?

LR, please elaborate on the incredible stories that are untrue. Sorry about DH's cousin's DH.

TF, am glad your stitches are out.

What flavour was the tea, Franny? Did you give her a filthy mug?
