Wake Pea Up Before you Goji - 10/10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Right, I have finally have my Graze code, so please please please would any lurkers or anyone else here use it as Franny and Pink and co have squillions of people on theirs and I have none.

You get a free box and it's LOVELY. I had cherries today and a cherry bakewell mix and yoghurt coated raisins and it's lovely when it plops through your door and you can cancel any time. Code here : 7QQY2J9

Phew.

SuperBunny · 17/06/2009 17:09

I'll use your code, Guad. Whenever I get round to ordering it for my sister.

SuperBunny · 17/06/2009 17:12

ok, I;m on the graze site - what do I chose - large punnet? Small? Or a nutrition plan? HELP!

SuperBunny · 17/06/2009 17:14

Oh, I get it. Was being a bit dim.

SuperBunny · 17/06/2009 17:30

Done! Eek. Am excited & the box won't even come to me.

Am I Allowed 2 different accounts? I'd like to send some to my dad too.

Guadalupe · 17/06/2009 18:02

Yes, yes, send as many as you like.

I'm having chicken, sorrel, chilli and pomegranate salad with loads of other bits. It's delicious.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/06/2009 18:31

A quick list before I go out to a M&T Group committee meeting

banana
blueberries
nakd bar
cucumber
grapes
green beans
peas
spring greens

Cripes, only about 6 portions.

pinkspottywellies · 17/06/2009 18:55

Bunny if you have an account you can send one to any address. I've set up an account for my sister though to surprise her with one (or that was the plan but it turned up late so I had to tell her about it!) and then I'll give her the details to use it herself. What's the issue with where you live? Does everyone want you nearby?

soya beans
peppers, onion, mushrooms in mince hot pot type thing - yummy
with roasted carrots and parsnips
apple
juice
grapes
carrot, cuc, lettuce in sandwich
plum
still mega hungry so will have strawbs, pear and more plums
and maybe a banana

Oh by the way. My sister's late graze box was still fine when it arrived the next day but I got a credit of £1.50 in case the fresh box was ruined! Brilliant!

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2009 19:02

oh i want cherry bakewell mix and more to the point i want CHERRIES
but i think i have ballsed it up yet again i have not got an email saying they are sending it

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2009 19:11

hoorah on the website it says they have sent it
i am not looking to see what is in it, i LOVE the surprise

well i shall list then Miss TooT as you insist

yesterday was blueberries, grapefruit, and oranges in the hotel (blueberries not provided by travelodge) - 3
mixed beans and sprouts and lentils in a salad, fruit juice, dried fruit mix - 4
aubergine and lentil moussaka, cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli, = 4
so that's 11

today - mango, banana, raisins - 3
hummus, roasted veg - 2
blueberries, strawberries - 4
butternut squash, mushrooms, kidney beans, tomatoes - 2
11 again

Guadalupe · 17/06/2009 19:13

I don't get an email to say what they are sending.

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2009 19:21

you don't seem to get any emails guad

Guadalupe · 17/06/2009 19:23

I do now they've sorted out my address, there was a digit wrong apparently.

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2009 19:25

well if you get the email saying "we have sent it", there is a thing to click to say "what am i getting"
but only the kind of people who read the end of books first would ever click

Guadalupe · 17/06/2009 19:26

mind you, since they emailed that I haven't had any, myabe I am meant to get them?

Raspberries
cherries
dried stuff x2
sorrel
tomatoes
pepper
cucumber
orange juice
orange
pomegranate

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2009 19:32

we have sorrel growing from last year
it's about 5 foot high

Guadalupe · 17/06/2009 19:35

Mine is only four inches but I have high hopes for it.

Boco · 17/06/2009 19:47

I've resisted this graze craze so far. Is it expensive?

raisins
cranberries
tomatoes
grapes
red pepper
onion
tinned tomatoes
carrot
blueberries
banana

Dp came home from work with proper flu, has been in bed all afternoon with a high fever and chills and aches and upset stomach and now a cough. Do you think he's got swine flu? Will we all get swine flu? I googled symptoms and ticked them all off. God that'd be annoying. I'm struggling with being sympathetic because I've not got TIME.

FrayedKnot · 17/06/2009 19:59

Boco you sound like me - I think pre DS I used to bring DH lemsips and tuck him up in bed, now I just say "fgs go and get into bed if it's that bad" and then ignore him. What are people being advised to do atm if they think it is real proper possibly swine flu?

I haven;t scrolled down to read about Guad's dildo but I am slightly curious.

With all this talk of growing things, i think we have only gone and grown a ruddy pumpkin plant that might eventually have a pumpkin on it

I am so excited

Even though pumpkin is not really one of my fave f&v.

TooTicky · 17/06/2009 20:01

Is that the dildo Guad?

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 17/06/2009 20:02

I think graze is actually quite reasonable and that's coming from a skinflint someone who's very careful with money. It's also coming from someone who has a pound off her next 34 boxes

TooTicky · 17/06/2009 20:05

Oh, sorrel, I see.

I haven't done Graze. If I do it, I shall use your code Guad.
