Wake Pea Up Before you Goji - 10/10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Cake?
CAKE?

Only rice cake in this puritanical house.

Just got out the habit. It moves so fast this here thread! Tis very nice to return though.

Am pooping my pants re Friday.
What if I get NO OFFERS?!

EA wouldn't recommend closing date unless they were confident, but still...

nickytwotimes · 16/06/2009 19:56

Yes, fancy ILTMIMI.

nickytwotimes · 16/06/2009 19:57

Actually, dh was complaining a bit at my 'excessive' f&vong.
Too late though. I feel like I am coming down with scurvy if I don't manage at least 7.
Anyone got anything nice going on atm?
Have skimmed, but not read whole thread.

SuperBunny · 16/06/2009 20:03

I'm sitting in a metaphorical pile off poo, nicky so I understand. House selling and stuff is stressful.

I am looking forward to my trip to the green grocers this afternoon.

SuperBunny · 16/06/2009 20:04

There is no such thing as excessive F&Ving btw

Where's Franny? And Wombling - what happened with her job?

Has Idris left us?

nickytwotimes · 16/06/2009 20:07

Ooh, I love our local greengrocers.

It is a bit like Awrkright, so we tend to go to Asda and Tesco, but it is great for the atmosphere.

littlerach · 16/06/2009 20:10

God SB, that's all you need.
But it will all be fine cos we are all rooting for you and it's supposed to happen.
You and ds can sleep in either the shed or playhouse - take your pick!!

ILs are staying for about 2 days now (sifnificantly less than the 2 months previoulsy!)
Have been ranting about various things all day so am chilling out now....

Mits, that is a v good idea. I will sneak in TooT's car and come and visit! Actually, they'll have gone by then and there'll be room again.

I take it somthgn house related too?

SuperBunny · 16/06/2009 20:14

2 days - that's great, LR. We're going to invade my poor sister's home for 6 weeks. Or more. I will do my very best to get out asap!

SuperBunny · 16/06/2009 20:18

moving/ life related Nicky.

littlerach · 16/06/2009 20:19

Ah but it is only the two of you, yes?
that is v different.
If it was just MIL and FIL, or SIL and children then fine, they could stay for a while ages.

Shed is free if you need it

SuperBunny · 16/06/2009 20:22

Thanks for the shed offer. Much appreciated

mollyroger · 16/06/2009 20:53

Guadalupe · 16/06/2009 21:38

What part of the country does your sister live in, SB? (roughly) Are you going to try to live nearby to her too?

Halloumi chilli salad with orange and leaves and onion and dressing and two glasses of semillion chardonnay. Yum.

Speaking of halloumi, very well done you, OB, if you are reading. And the kitchen is upstairs currently, half painted as the downstairs floors are finished. Sink has arrived and dh is collecting our cooker from yorkshire next week. Is coming together slowly! Glad yours is done.

I am eating caramelised almond chocolate from Rococo. Is very nice, and the rapper is pretty if a little like a tobacco packet.

TooTicky · 16/06/2009 21:40

LR, if SB is haing the shed, can I come and live in your playhouse for a bit please?
I can keep an eye on TT for you and soothe him if he has nightmares.

Wrapper. I have lost my W, and f.

TooTicky · 16/06/2009 21:41

Aw, I was liking the pretty rapper

Guadalupe · 16/06/2009 21:45

It's driving me mad! I keep having to press them very hard.

There are birds all over it, and pictures of antique chocolate moulds and the choc itself is made from antique mould. Is very pretty, though fairly ordinary tasting I must admit.

FrannyandZooey · 16/06/2009 21:47

hello, we're back home
dses did NOT sleep well in the hotel - well ds1 didn't
but we had a nice time if slightly weary

FrayedKnot · 16/06/2009 21:50

Evening veggerly lovelies

Nicky nice to see you. Fingers x for your house sale, I remember you mentioned before about not being happy with it.

SB how stressful anf frustrating for you not to know exactly what's going to happen and when. I hope greengrocers trip was fruitious (is that a word?).

I also have a shed should anyone ever have need of it.

Just been to gym & yoga, ate quite a lot of salad. Twice. And some fruit at some point.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 16/06/2009 21:54

I am fed up. I couldn't go to kick boxing. There was shouting and I couldn't leave the house...

I really wanted to.

I fell over on the stairs because I wasn't concentrating and bumped my knee. I want a Mr Bump sticker.

I am glad I had a strawberry tart earlier.

There are little eco-holiday-pods near here and I am thinking of renting one for a weekend by myself.

Guadalupe · 16/06/2009 21:56

We haven't got a shed but plenty of sofas.

I never sleep well in hotels. They are always hot or have some noise coming from somewhere unidentifiable. I stayed in a fairly posh one a few years ago that was so hot I stuck my head out of the window only to be confronted with an enormous dildo on the net thing between floors.

Our barn however, has blissful beds. My own are like straw planks in comparison.

pinkspottywellies · 16/06/2009 21:57

I had a very 10/10 lentil salad for dinner. Lentils, onions and red peppers, olives, lettuce, rocket, grated carrot, a lone radish from the garden, tomatoes and feta. Mmmm. And dd ate all of hers too (only when I spooned it to her as thomas characters!! 'Gordon's going in the engine shed! Night night gordon' )

I'm being interviewed tomorrow about breastfeeding for someone's doctorate. I will cite you all (my iaginary friends) as good examples and support

Still very tired. Should go to bed now. Just need to bring the washing in and eat. I'm starving again despite my lovely dinner and a magnum

TooTicky · 16/06/2009 21:58

For you Mits
