Wake Pea Up Before you Goji - 10/10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Tomatoes (1/2)
Raisins

I've just been reading the perfume thread and it's made me all nostalgic. Dewberry, White Musk, Charlie Red and then, when I became a bit more sophisticated, Lulu blue. I can almost smell them.

BBBee · 15/06/2009 18:46

now i did call bocon a cunt I think - in a jokey way.

how do you know about my love of the word 'c'?

Boco · 15/06/2009 19:20

Did you call me a cunt? I didn't even notice. I liked Guad's skirt too.

littlerach · 15/06/2009 19:20

God dewbeery stank of cat's pee, didn't it?

My grandmother sent me some charlie body spray just a few years ago and dh used it as an air freshener in the bathroom once. After that the smell of charlie became synonoums with the smell of the bathromm post dh

Guad and pink did have lovely skirts on.
And Pink and \Lully looked just like theior FB pictures too.

pointydog · 15/06/2009 19:23

It all sounds purfick (apart from dogs eating grub and sitting in poo). lol @ did you call anyone a cunt.

sultanns
banana
peas and som ebroccoli
olives
leek and carrot soup
tomatoes
beetroot
strawberries

That is var good for me. If I have an apple later - as I probably will - that'll be 9. I could have some dried apricots to make 10. That would be huzzah.

BBBee · 15/06/2009 19:46

didn't I?

I usually do so err on the side of caution and assume I did.

Cunt.

mollyroger · 15/06/2009 19:56

BBBeee I have the same name as your sister and so am privvy to your FB cuntiness....

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 15/06/2009 20:27

It all sounds so so fab and I am so sorry I missed this one..I will make the next one and anyone else who missed it. Oh and SB..., oh wouldn't that be extra ace?

I would just have loved to meet you all.

And wear a skirt. I LOVE skirts and normally wear them all the time.

I have IBS symptoms and PMT and look like a heavily pregnant heffer...

I am doing OK for lists but it is the carb fest on top of that that is letting me down. I just kind of lose my resolve.

FrayedKnot · 15/06/2009 20:38

I think the 10/10 children got on marvellously didn;t they?

DS has a real crush on your DS1, Franny. he talked about him a lot on the way home.

And I think he rather liked BBBee's DS too.

A good reason to meet more often and chuck children in large fenced compound while we lounge about in the sun consuming raspberry fizz and welshcakes.

SuperBunny · 15/06/2009 20:40

Carbfest here too, Mits. I even started having sugar in my tea and coffee and I never do that.

Word seems to have spread here that I am leaving and I have just had a flurry of emails from friends (and 1 friend who has been a bit of a bitch) saying how sorry they are that I am leaving and can they throw me a farewell party and will I send a guest list and what would I like to do? But, it's not official that I am going, not til tomorrow. I am stressed that tomorrow is the Big Day and I am pissed off that they have been gossipping.

I know I'm being a cow but their timing is really bad. I desperately don't want a party.

FrayedKnot · 15/06/2009 20:41

Oh no TooT and LR about the train

I think I zoomed off muttering about trains without syaing proper goodbye

When we got to station realized the time on my phone was 7 mins slow so we got the train with about 2 seconds to spare

SuperBunny · 15/06/2009 20:43

I love the sound of a large fenced compound. I will lounge under a tree and drink Pimms.

FrayedKnot · 15/06/2009 20:46

I think I would be straight with them Bunny and tell them you don;t want a party. Maybe just tell 1-2 that you are closest to, and aks them to spread the word.

We're home

ahundredtimes · 15/06/2009 22:45

I had no threads in 'Threads I'm on' - I had to search for you all, that can't be right.

oooh you all had a lovely time. Am so pleased. And people were in skirts and everything. Well done 10/10ers.

SB I think you should have the party. Why don't you want to? Also they haven't been gossiping, they have been chatting. They like you (except for the complicated, not so nice one) and they care about you, and this is their way of showing it.

Erm.

That's it. I ate a lovely mango today btw. And one whole punnet of blueberries. And three nectarines. Has been a sweet dribbly sort of day.

pinkspottywellies · 15/06/2009 23:05

I had no threads I'm on either! Love the sound of dribbly day.

DH is delighted to be on BBB's things I loved list. He made me read it out lots

We had a lovely time. Oh fgs it just took me about 4 attempts to type lovely. I need to go to bed!

Night. SB have the party. What 100x says.

FrannyandZooey · 16/06/2009 09:21

i am not on the travelodge computer
well maybe just a little bit
i had skirt
i was in a very bright skirt in the morning and then at last minute panicked and changed and l;ooked dull
we were in the transport museum for more hours than i care to think about avi but it did break it up with pilgrimage to neal's yard (previous meet up site) and also the godiva chocolate shop
omg am heifer of heifland

Guadalupe · 16/06/2009 10:55

I liked your outfit. When I saw you in M&S I thought you looked very smart. I don't actually like skirts that much, I prefer to wear jeans but it was so hot that day I thought I'd boil.

It's much harder to get shoes right with skirts I think. I like flattish shoes for everyday but flat shoes and some skirts can end up looking like Mavis from Willo the Wisp.

mollyroger · 16/06/2009 13:16

lol @ Mavis - that is so how I feel today at work...only hopefully not quite so robust of figure.

Franny! patrick gale just spoke to Me!!

Does anybody know approximately what 5g of marmite equivalent looks like? Really cannot be arsed to weigh it.

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 16/06/2009 14:48

I have no idea, Toot. What requires 5g of marmite? I'd just guess.

TigerFeet · 16/06/2009 15:11

About half a teaspoon maybe

I just smear it on my toast. I pay no attention to quantites. I'm far too busy counting portions of f&v to worry about precise marmite portions

I'm skirtphobic too. I have legs like treetrunks and cankles . Such a shame, I love skirts on other people.

TigerFeet · 16/06/2009 15:20

I have eaten yet more strawberries today

Lots of veg later

Will probably total 7 or 8 or thereabouts today but most of it will be fruit.

strawberries (2 or 3)
melon
blueberries (1/2)
mango
cabbage
green beans
asparagus
orange

oooh, that's better than I thought
