For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OO TooT & LR, who were you ogling?

I'm knackered and grumpy.

Pineapple
chickpeas

SuperBunny · 28/05/2009 19:59

Franny - are you and Greeny just friends. Or what?

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:02

what, as opposed to lovers do you mean?
you don't really mean that do you? [boggled]

SuperBunny · 28/05/2009 20:18

I hadn't even considered that you might be lovers.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:20

i am really confused
i am sorry bunny
i can't think what else you could mean

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:21

we are not lovers btw
let me get that straight
although who knows if i play my cards right tomorrow

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:22

I do love it when the 10/10 thread goes all Pinteresque like this. I am going to be the character who delivers a bizarrely violent monologue which appears to have no purpose in the story, but ups the slightly threatening atmosphere.

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:24

And also, hello everybody. Hope you are all well. Sorry to hear about school Moll, but like somebody said hopefully it'll be one of those when it works out just fine, and you tried.

That's not by violent monologue by the way, I'm still working on that. That would not be very convincing in a Pinter play I think.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:31

LOL at "hello everybody. Hope you are all well" in a pinter play

it has been a day for surreal misunderstandings
at forest schools I introduced my friend (some of you remember Gnorman) to two other female friends of mine, who he promptly decided were a lesbian couple
there ensued a very bizarre conversation with no-one knowing what the heck was going on
eg one of the female friends is swedish
so he asked the OTHER one (thinking she was girlfriend to a swedish person) if she knew much swedish
etc
LOL

then we were all pond dipping (me, dp, ds1, Gnorman, Gnorman's ds) and an old bloke got chatting and referred to Gnorman as the boys' brother! LOL he thought me and dp were his mum and dad

ah i know bunny, did you think i might be greeny's mum?

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:34

LOL. I love things like that, they make me laugh and laugh, sometimes for days and weeks or years afterwards. I have no idea why I find them so funny, but they are. DH is particularly good at those kinds of misunderstandings and as such a rich source of amusement. It might be why I married him now I think about it.

or a cousin perhaps? Or what?

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:36

He once had a whole conversation with someone in pidgin french because he thought someone had said she didn't speak any english, but she was english. LOLOL

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:37

nurse? s+m slave? conjoined twin? stalker? irish dancing partner??????

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:40

sister.

I think she meant sister.

Poor SB she said she was grumpy and knackered. She needs to not explain. She just needs to looks suspiciously at you and Greeny, and I'm going to do it too, just for the larks.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:40

ha at dh
we want more dh stories

gnorman's own wife is swedish and also works in feminist / gender issues
he was planning to work this into conversation but thank god realised in time they were just two random women not swedish lesbians

he is also particularly good at being involved with these misunderstandings
i was with him in the park once and someone had a conversation with him for about half an hour thinking he was a woman

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:41

oh sorry sb
really sorry if i've been dim
i hope you feel less grumpy and knackered soon
and at greeny being my sister

Boco · 28/05/2009 20:42

LOL, my mind boggling too, at what else SB could have meant, must admit, I thought she thought you were lovers too.

How was Barthelona 100?

Guad was v. impressively brave and drove to my house today for lunch. Was very nice, we talked canon and ball paint charts and she admired my bossom.

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:43

lol. I must be his friend. His sniggering friend.

I like it particularly when the person who is misunderstanding is trying to be helpful = like dh with his french. It happens quite a lot because he doesn't always listen v well.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:44

i've often admired your bosom boco

Boco · 28/05/2009 20:45

Oh my favourite ever misunderstanding, which i've told you all before, was my American neighbour, telling someone about how she was taking her 12 year old go-karting for her birthday, adn the woman was stunned - later emailed her saying that she'd hoped her and her daughter had enjoyed the GOAT HERDING! hahahahaha

It's not as funny now is it.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:48

the story you told, which i have never forgotten boco, is the one about the poo on the sleeve
at the work dinner party
i sometimes turn it over in my mind in an appalled / gleeful way

FrayedKnot · 28/05/2009 20:49

There is a definite sapphic air to this thread tonight

I hope TooT has been ogling a man just to even things up

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:49

that wasn't a misunderstanding though
it was just an unforgettable anecdote
although i suppose it was a misunderstanding over what was toilet paper and what was part of your clothing

Boco · 28/05/2009 20:49

Oh God I know, that one haunts me too. I don't think anything worse could ever happen to anyone could it? It wasnt' me by the way. I'd have had to go into the wilderness.

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2009 20:51

yes that's funny - live talking is funnier though, especially if I am there meanly grinning under my fringe.

Barthelona was wonderful and rather revelatory really. If you have them all packed together like my three, it's amazing to take one out of our slum tenement of sibling rivalry. He was the best and nicest travelling companion you could ever hope for. Great company, very funny and thoughtful. It was wonderful, and I did actually feel like I got to know him again, or that we did re-bond. Honestly. Was really a big thing, I think. Well it was for me, he might just give you a polite smile if you ask and look long-suffering.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2009 20:52

oh i didn't mean YOUR clothing
i meant ONE'S clothing
although it did cross my mind once that she was unlikely to have wanted to tell people afterwards, so how did you know?
