For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/05/2009 20:57

Hi TF? How's it going?

kiki? eh?

Happy birthday Pink

I have never had a Findus crispy pancake. I imagine they are grim.

TigerFeet · 27/05/2009 21:07

Kiki - lots of lovely nutrients for people who eat findus crispy pancakes have poor diets due to, eg, hyperemesis

I had been feeling sorry for myself, but for the past few days I am much improved, partly due to Kiki, partly due to week off work with almost total bedrest, partly due to arrival of IL's to help with dd over half term. Not sure how much of the improvement is Kiki related but I am not about to start messing with what seems to be a winning combination

mollyroger · 27/05/2009 21:09

lettuce, cucumber, mushroom, onions, peppers, loives, cucumber, corriandr, chives, lovage, sweetcorn,

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/05/2009 21:12

I have never heard of kiki, but glad you are feeling better. I had Baby Lemur last Sept, and the summer just seemed to fly by, so I hope it does for you too Then before you know it you'll be holding your warm and snuffly bundle of lovliness.

I shite, I've made myself broody writing that. I have noticed broody feelings more frequently recently

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/05/2009 21:14

loives? lovage?

Molly, are you making it up?

littlerach · 27/05/2009 21:18

Lovage sounds nice Molly.

Happy bday Pink

Glad you're feeling a bit better TF.

TooTicky · 27/05/2009 21:18

Molly, were those all whole portions? How much is a portion of coriander?

Toot - you've got a nerve! Anyway I have something else to say about it to Franny so you'll just have to go in your tent for a minute.

Franny - Yes, I see what you mean, except in my case I did have to eat less food because I was eating too much food. It is a long term thing rather than a diet. I am sure if I went back to eating too much food I would put it on again. Of course exercise and eating the right food (ie plenty of fruit and veg) is as important as eating the right amount. I used to pig out all the time and definitely ate too much sugar.

Guadalupe · 27/05/2009 21:34

Oh, Pink! Happy Birthday!

pointydog · 27/05/2009 21:55

happy birthday, pink.

bunny, I used to love findus cheese crispy pancakes when I was a girl. I bought them once as a grown up, looking forward to eating them omce more, and soom realised they were in fact 'orrible.

FrayedKnot · 27/05/2009 21:57

Ooh Happy Birthday Pink!
I hope you have had a lovely day.

Guadalupe · 27/05/2009 21:59

I don't know if I have eaten a crispy pancake which is surprising considering we had most other crap.

I sometimes get the urge to eat a spam fritter or a fray bentos but I am certain I wouldn't really like it.

TooTicky · 27/05/2009 22:01

Yes it was a bit cheeky of me Guad but there was bugger all I could say and I couldn't think of anything anything else to post about so I lurked and sighed and scowled

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 27/05/2009 22:06

Rofl at you lurking and scowling.

Well, I have little more to say about it you will be pleased to know. Except I fancy a cake and there are none. I might have an oat flip.

TooTicky · 27/05/2009 22:09

Oat flips sound energetic but graceful. A sort of breakfast time exercise.

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 27/05/2009 22:11

Lol

TooTicky · 27/05/2009 22:12

Go on then, give us a demo

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 27/05/2009 22:21

Well I can't do a breakfast exercise at night
can I.

I will eat the flip energetically and gracefully.
