For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

hello can I come in? I have eaten a LOT of fruit today...

that blind light exhibition was unbelievably effective, my kids still bang on about the "cloudbox"

and lily cole was indeed there, bless her little satellite-dish-shaped face

I have had the sort of day that thankfully doesn't come around very often, so have come to bask vicariously in your healthy golden vegger glow of well-being

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 19:15

I just realised who this Greeny person is you've been talking about

Gormley has a few pieces in Cambridge. I might go and have a look when we're next there.

Greensleeves · 08/06/2009 19:26

SuperBunny · 08/06/2009 20:07

I'm bored.

My eczema/ dermatitis thing is so bad that I can barely move my right hand for fear of it dropping off and my eyelid is so swollen, I cannot open it. I can't get an appointment with the dermatologist til next Thursday (which I realiuse, compared to the nhs is quite soon) but by then it will all be better and they won't believe me.

So, I am a pretty sight. I have a date on Friday so it MUST get better by then.

On the plus side, I just booked our flights home

mollyroger · 08/06/2009 20:09

gReeny - what a genius response to Franzo Jnr. I love you.

lentil soup
apple
Tomatoes
mushroom
onion

bit crap, sorry.

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 20:12

oh no @ eczema on eyelid
sounds abysmal
i imagine stress does not help it?

i am not listing
it's for the best

mollyroger · 08/06/2009 20:17

oh gawd sb.
hS THIS BEEN RIGGERED BY STRESS?

I had demrmatitis on eyebrows for a couple of years and that was bad enough. (The 'dandruff' got in my eyes and infectd them...then I turned out to be allergic to eyedrops prescribed by gp.)

FrayedKnot · 08/06/2009 20:29

SB that sounds horrid. Is there anything that will soothe it a bit before you see the dermatologist?

Flights home sounds very positive

TooT must have a sticker, where's the monitor?

DS was a kamikaze cralwer. I draped blankets and rugs over all hard surfaces (we had an annoying brick fireplace thing with no fire in it) because for about 3 weeks he did nothing but crawl to fireplace, sit, fall over into brick wall, be removed, then start over again. Then he learned to cruise the sofa and things got easier, apart from never being able to sit down with a hot drink ever again

At one point we lived ina rented house with two flights of stairs, and I had to have 5 stairgates.

SuperBunny · 08/06/2009 20:34

I've had this before but it miraculously went away. I think it may well be stress and/ or milk.

I'm annoyed that I threw out my scary steroid ointments. I found something in the cupboard earlier but can't remember what it is for. Might give it a whirl - certainly cannot make things worse. Actually, dandruffy eyebrow might be a little worse!

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 20:41

sb can you buy mild steroid otc like you can here? probably quite illegal but we have fairly nasty steroid ointment and could post?

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 20:45

ds2's circuit is:
crawl to stairs
climb very quickly and silently up stairs
get stuck
wail
be caught dramatically by dp (!! just in time)
or alternatively be removed very chagrinned
immediately crawl to phone wires and start chewing
get removed
crawl to sofa
pull up
bang head on daft ikea sofa table thingy
repeat
repeat
repeat
get picked up and held on sofa
attack ornaments on windowsill esp mummy's favourite armadillo one
chuck things down radiator
cry to get down
get put down
cry to get up
repeat again from beginning

SuperBunny · 08/06/2009 20:49

Thanks Franny. I'll try the stuff I have and, if anything terrible happens I will call the dermatology people and cry.

DS2 sounds fab. My DS used to like to try to warp cords round his neck and also climb on the window sill (of our second floor apartment), bang on the window and shout, "Hi! Hiiii! HI! HIIIIIII! HEY - HELLOOOOOO" until people looked up at him.

pointydog · 08/06/2009 21:20

bunny, your eczema sounds infuriatiing

TigerFeet · 08/06/2009 21:33

When are you coming home SB? Hope the eczema clears up.

I actually managed 4 portions at tea time. So seven in all today.

Crawling babies are one of my favouritest things in the whole wide world unless the baby is my baby.

pinkspottywellies · 08/06/2009 21:39

Oh Bunny you'll be able to wait months for an appointment soon and play real scrabble!!

Lots of salad for tea. Pineapple. Satsuma. Well only half a satsuma. DD decided she wanted a satsuma sandwich. I was about to say no, then I thought why not? So I made it but she didn't eat any! She had about 3 crisps and a slice of cucumber for lunch
