For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh Bunny you'll be able to wait months for an appointment soon and play real scrabble!!

Lots of salad for tea. Pineapple. Satsuma. Well only half a satsuma. DD decided she wanted a satsuma sandwich. I was about to say no, then I thought why not? So I made it but she didn't eat any! She had about 3 crisps and a slice of cucumber for lunch

July 10th!

Real Scrabble and the NHS. Hurrah! And I really mean that - I was never a big supporter of the NHS til I moved away.

Off to work now. So, cake, crisps and coffee for the rest of the night.

SB....so sorry about excema, how awful for you...((((())))). Wishing every good vibe possible for you though...

DS is errupting daily and DD's asthma is bad.
I am in 'coping exceedingly well' mode prior to collapsing hysterically and neurotically when it is convenient.

Crap list because I need to shop but don't have time. Will go out one evening and sit in -the-- park and eat a whole chocolate cheesecake by myself stock up on something a bit more interesting.

So goodnight and take care all.

TooT.

Okay Mooncup users.
Is it always so terrifyingly difficukt ti get the damned thing out

I was almost at the stage of calling for help (though no one is home. Toss up between neighbours 23 yr old son or TooT on school run )

I feel traumatised now.

Easy to get in though.

Tatties · 09/06/2009 10:03

Hello all. I am that I won't see you all at the weekend.

LR - Mooncup does get easier with practice, honest. I found it all a bit daunting to begin with but once you get the knack it's fab

Babieseverywhere · 09/06/2009 10:33

I have been doing very well with fruit and veg recently. This is the first week in ages that the family ate all the F&V we bought !!!

Yesterday we had bananas, grapes and strawberries for breakfast. Lunch included salad with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and more fruit with Tea.

So I have to go food shopping today as I have nothing left in the house (practically unheard of in this house)

littlerach, Mooncups can be tricky from what I remember. First don't panic. Second Mooncup are easier to remove if they are full. Third I seem to remember bearing down really helped to grab the base and defdinately remember to break the seal before removing (you don't want a vacum effect there...ouch)
