For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I don't know who Anthony Gormley is either

Salad (2)
Mixed fruit (2)

Probably three portions of veg later on with tea

Not bad, for me

I have a dodgy patch of skin on my arm which is being removed on Wednesday

TooTicky · 08/06/2009 16:58

Tiger, it is the undeucated but eating significantly better than usual corner, therefore there is no shame.

Wow Franny I wnder how many people applied?

It says 2400 or summat actually get a go.

TooTicky · 08/06/2009 17:07

Apple. That makes 6.

I have a banana here but I'm not sure I can face it.

That's so cool, Franny. You should go and visit! I see that the time makes that rather tricky. He is the man who made the Nagel of the North, I think. He is doing a project where people get to stand on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square.

SuperBunny · 08/06/2009 17:23

Youtube info on The Plinth

Thanks SB

I have some gooseberries but I think they are just a little underripe. What shall I do with them? I think they would need another fruit to supplement them in a crumble.

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 08/06/2009 17:56

Apples and goooseberry?

Cake?

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 18:11

evening chaps
yes isn't she lucky! we have also applied but obviously not won a place yet - i wonder what she will do up there
my guess is read a book
she usually gets up early to read anyway so i think it would be cool to take a chair up there and sit reading
i have been gormley fan since i saw field for british isles
i was in my local paper talking about it [swank]

FrayedKnot · 08/06/2009 18:27

I like the idea of la famille Franny doing a liitle tableaux on the plinth.

DS is eating a banana, a carrot and a choc chip muffin for tea

He should have been having a baked potato but he "couldn;t eat anything hot" tonight

I think I may have read too much of the AK book last night

i am parenting no hoper
i had to spend the day at soft play because i can not work out a way to give ds1 any attention without ds2 killing himself in kamikaze stair diving or similar
we are all bloated and stupid on cheap white carbohydrate

TooTicky · 08/06/2009 18:57

Well if you do ever work it out Fra please to let me know. I mean nobody is actually going to throw themselves down the stairs anymore, but they have do have all kinds of canny ploys to refocus my attentions.

I like Gormley too. How funny for your sister. You are sounding a tad sibling competitive Franny

I am going out to eat in that restaurant TooT and LR like. And then going to see that Chabrol film at the cinema. I don't know if it will be any good. Am working hard at the minute too - about time. Sorry if I've forgotten to say something to someone about something.

pointydog · 08/06/2009 19:00

sdultanas
banana x 2
peas
green beans and mange tout
chick peas
strawberries

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 19:01

oh god yes am jealous of her but to be completely honest i would not want to get up at 5 am to be up there, so i am sort of glad it is her and not me, plus she is very nice and cool and all that so i am glad for her
nice funny things do happen to her and BIL and this is a particularly good one i would say
plus i can bask in the glory without having to do the standing
it's quite high up there isn't it

TooTicky · 08/06/2009 19:03

I think I have seen that Gormley field for British Isles. It was in a cathedral somewhere. I'm thinking Gloucester or Westminster. Or maybe it was a rip off of it? No, I'm sure it was that. I didn't realise it was the same person who done Angel of the North though.

Maybe you need to sellotape ds2 in bubble wrap to soften the kamikaze blows?!

Baby Lemur still doesn't crawl, but he is very mobile with just rolling. Today he was repeatedly pulling the laundry off the airer.

I kept looking stern and saying no.

He couldn't give a shite and carried on, with a big smile on his face!

Jeez.

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 19:04

i don't think ds2 is doing it because he begrudges the attention, btw
i think he is just doing it because he is mad, and he has just learnt to crawl, and he wants very much to see what everything is like, including falling down stairs from the top, eating wires, banging his head against every hard object in the house, and he is particularly determined to see what breaking my armadillo ornament that i have had for 20 years would be like

TooT tell us again what you ate
we need to check this i think [slightly suspicious]

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/06/2009 19:05

Well done Toot.

Good listing

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 19:08

more gormley: me and Greeny went to see that Blind Light last year where you walk around in a big box filled with dry ice stuff
her ds woke up in the middle of it and said "where ARE we?" (it was very disorientating and you literally could not see your hand in front of your face)
greeny said "we are in a cloud, darling"
"oh" he said calmly

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/06/2009 19:10

Ha ha ha, don't you just love kids

I'll have to see what else Gormley has done.

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2009 19:10

oh and Lily Cole was there!
