For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I definitely think there is some mileage in the How To Talk so Bigots Will Listen title.

In fact, we could perhaps starts a series?

Have never actually binned a toy, but have come darn close.

Do you ever find you really annoy yourslef with your positive trilling when faced with sullen stonewalling?

Sometimes I think no wonder DS is so moody, with a mother who resembles Pollyanna on speed.

Tatties · 03/06/2009 17:53

ds just weed himself in the living room while I was doing dishes in kitchen, there was a huge amount of liquid on the floor! It looked like he'd spilled a cup of water but he hadn't [baffled] It makes me feel very sigh-y as he is so past doing that but is going through a phase of holding on as long as possible as going to the toilet is "boring" I realise it is important for things like this to happen though to put a stop to any broody thoughts I may be having

OMG I got FIREY NUTS (or something like that) in my graze box and they were bloody gorgeous. I have managed to save about 3 for dp

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2009 18:12

i got lemon salted nuts and honey roasted nuts, did i say that already? how come everyone got grapes then? how does it work? if i had said "never send me grapes" would i have got pineapple? will we all get something different next week eg grapefruit? i still think it is very cool. they asked me today when i logged on whether i wanted more things i said i loved, or more things i said i wanted to try
i love things that evolve and get better and better at predicting what you want
dp however has jumped ship
when i went to cancel his order it showed me a pie chart which showed how much money people saved on lunch and snacks and stuff by buying graze instead!

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2009 18:13

guad you should have been sent a code for free boxes by email

ReallyReally · 03/06/2009 18:14

what code

what box

what grapes

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2009 18:18

oh RR you can get sent little boxes through the post and they have fruit and stuff in
it is fab
i've referred loads of people so will let someone else do you - they will give you a code for a free trial

TooTicky · 03/06/2009 18:19

Oh oh I tried something!!

There was a major screaming session in full flow in the car, with dd1 being loudest and most unreasonable.
So I said, "I can hear that you are upset,". My face may not have been entirely straight, but I was facing away from her.
Her response?
"Now you sound like a f*ing counsellor!"
At which point I erupted with laughter.
I think I may be missing the finer points of this technique.
Sigh.

LOL TooT

Lemur yes she did in the end - she said she had just forgotten i needed someone
they had a marvellous time feeding him cornflakes and watching tv and roaming around finding things - an animal skull and a bird's wing - the whole thing! ds of course delighted but it is slightly repellent
thinking about it they probably killed and roasted the animal's head and made ds eat it

they have had a terrible time actually with their car - they spent the afternoon in the garage waiting for it to be fixed and it was still not ready by 5 pm so they just decided to go home! it is a long journey and they are getting on a bit [guilt]

TigerFeet · 03/06/2009 18:34

Oh I have chuckled my way through the thread. Arf arf

I'm chuffed to hear about all these difficult 4 year olds. Mine turns five in four weeks' time. All will be well in the Feet household from that day on, in a reverse Kevin the Teenager turns 13 type effect. Won't it.

Guadalupe · 03/06/2009 18:53

Rofl, Toot, that is very funny.

RR - Grapes, dried things, salty things all sent in a box and the first one is free with a code. Have MY code. Hang on.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/06/2009 19:01

There's another bird wing in our garden up for grabs if your ds fancies it! There is also a dead bat. Our cats are prolific hunters

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2009 19:03

god he would do quite a lot for a dead bat
please never tell him

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2009 19:05

we have been amusing ourselves on here
it says i am slightly to the left of the Dalai Lama
but a fair bit smugger than him, obviously

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/06/2009 19:07

I can pop it into a box and send it to you if he fancies it!! What is it with kids and dead animals?

We had a headless mouse by the front door last week and my friends children were fascinated with it. I'm sure they would have touched it if we hadn't stopped them.

mollyroger · 03/06/2009 19:09

G8M9YD4E - here!
you can have my free graze code if you like!!!

Guadalupe · 03/06/2009 19:11

Oy, theifo, that's my client.

Tis very annoying, I don't seem to have an email from them and I can't log in either as it doesn't recognise my email address on their system. Yet they still send me stuff and presumably take my money. Sigh. Bloody fruit freaks.

Guadalupe · 03/06/2009 19:12

I am drinking lemon verbena tea with my own lemon verbena leaves and trying not mind that ds1 just sat on my blueberry muffin. The worst thing is I still ate it, and half of dds.

mollyroger · 03/06/2009 19:14

oh Guad, I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking
shall I have it deleted?

TooTicky · 03/06/2009 19:29
