For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ah. I did goji berries the hard way the other day! Have just said no to any more apple though - I had it the other day and while it was very nice apple, like you say £3 for a chopped up apple is a bit beyond!

pointydog · 31/05/2009 23:16

That is an unfeasibly large list, moll

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 01/06/2009 07:35

Good list Molly....

I have my community mental health assesssment tomorrow....can someone hold my hand or hug me or something. I am 'coping' externally but falling apart on the inside.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/06/2009 07:42

I know what you mean about enjoying being spoilt Pink. I spent the weekend at my sisters and it was lovely not having to think about meals, washing and laundry etc. However it was lovely to come home and see dh, I really missed him and we were only apart for 1 night

I also said no to apple in my Graze box as I wasn't going to pay £3 for chopped apple

Right, this week I will have FOCUS after an terrible f&v weekend.

Oh yes, and well done Moll and Pointy. Hot Dog indeed!

Will think of you

ReallyReally · 01/06/2009 09:52

hello all have been lurking

wtf is graze box

also hijack re this unconditional parenting - would it work for complete space cadet of daughter (8) who is told to do something and then doesn't and doesn't give a toss?

(100x we have been over this on a long thread many moons before - it is Cappy here in disguise)

Dh and I are at end of tether and dh seems allergic to the How to Talk book I think it gives him eczema to touch it

anyway I am so full of veg this weekend I am turning green I think so I believe I am allowed in

ahundredtimes · 01/06/2009 10:53

Cappy! I've REALLY missed you. I've been missing you but you've been here all along?

I don't know about unconditional parenting. I don't think I do it. I think I have some conditions, which are usually ignored. So.

ReallyReally · 01/06/2009 11:23

no, I haven't been here. Well, I've been here a couple of times, because I wanted to know something.

But I'm not here, really. I hang out with my new bloggy friends now, you know. They're so cool, and they don't make me feel inadequate at all, with all the things they make and do and all the lovely pictures they take.

Oh no.

littlerach · 01/06/2009 12:28

Hmm, I have a daughter like that too.

It is hot.

Mask · 01/06/2009 12:34

Hello healthy foodies,

Just crashing the thread to remind you that the Live webchat with Caroline Lucas, the Green Party leader, is now underway. Let's give her a warm MN welcome.

SuperBunny · 01/06/2009 14:11

Aha, perhaps my eczema is coming from the parenting books I got from the library. I will return them pronto.

SuperBunny · 01/06/2009 14:12

Haven't read thread btw, only last few posts. Will catch up soon.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/06/2009 15:49

How are you bunny? Is everything still going ok with the move? Fingers crossed for you.

Baby Lemur is with his Granny again this afternoon and I've spent a whole 45 minutes laying in the garden doing naff all!
