For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Rubeckia is a plant a little like a sun flower.

I ran away from home once and went to Glasgow.

A policeman asked me why I had picked Scotland instead of London and I said ''because I like to be different''

There is an awful lot of land way up north....

All I took with me was my portfolio!!

Boco · 07/05/2009 21:35

I didn't know that about Rubeckia. Dd has called several of her toys variations of Rebecca for some time.

How old were you when you ran away Mits? How long did you spend there, and did the policeman have to drive you home? What did you do with your portfolio?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 07/05/2009 21:40

Lol....I was 16, I stayed a couple of nights in a dodgy B and B, that the policeman found for me, and I looked aimlessly for galleries with my portfolio until my money ran out and then I went home...

Sitting in an attic window watching the sun come up over Glasgow is a strangely treasured memory though...followed by wandering the streets as the city woke up to find a bakers...

FrannyandZooey · 07/05/2009 22:20

that's really bizarre MW, when i was a teenager i was desperate to get away from home, and glasgow was where i was going to go
i never actually had the bottle to do it - still think of it sometimes! i expect in rl it would have been a dangerous disaster but in my imagination it was romantic and exciting
i think it just represented freedom to me - i still get that running away feeling sometimes
if i ever disappear look for me in glasgow

Boco · 07/05/2009 22:58

I ran away when I was five. My parents helped me move - into the garage but it was still a little close, so I moved to a bomb shelter nearby, but it was dark and cobwebby so they helped me move back to my bedroom, and i wrote an advert to put in the post office to advertise for new parents instead. Boco · 07/05/2009 22:59

Bee! Look at you all windswept and interesting we have missed you, you've been gone too long.

Guadalupe · 07/05/2009 23:04

Hi Bee

Did you run away in your yoof?

BBBee · 07/05/2009 23:06

boco - you are supposed to be out!

guad - i ran away in my yoof but we lived in the country, nothing for miles - I once hid in an elder tree for about half an hour - that was about as good as it got.

BBBee · 07/05/2009 23:11

god my 'puter is mother fucked - this is taking ages to load - if i come to meet will you all turn your backs due to my absence?

just answer me that goddamn you!

Guadalupe · 07/05/2009 23:15

Of course not. You can sit nect to me, I might bring chickpeas.

I am pleased we have an elder tree in my new front garden. We have one in the back here.

BBBee · 07/05/2009 23:33

guad you must look after it because witrches live in them. if you cut them down they haunt you if you care they protect you. we used to make elderflower wine and feed some back to the tree, i hid there for the witch to protect me.

flight on conchords on bbc4 now - hurrah!

i will sit next to you. i will bring baklava.

Morning fruity bitches,

Franny, DS still does that and he's 2! His latest trick is laying his head on my chest and wedging his hands under my armpits, next to my boobs and rubbing his face in them, it makes DH lol.

mollyroger · 08/05/2009 12:38

bollocks, did I miss FOTC last night? I am very confused as to when they are on.

I watched Donnie darko again and went vaguely to sleep halfway through and consequently had very strange dreams.
I may change my name to SparkleMotion....
