For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pointydog · 05/05/2009 18:49

basiocally, mis the dry ingredients. Beat sugars and opil in other bowl, add egg and vanilla. Mix in floury mixture. Stor in chips. Spoon out and cook for 10 mins or so at 180

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/05/2009 19:19

Well done you. Do you find yourself 'smoking' pens and pencils? My friend done that a lot when she gave up!

Guadalupe · 05/05/2009 19:19

Not one oak leaf, a whole pile of them, sillies.

I sometimes include onion. Sometimes I eat a lot of onion.

I like my greek salad heavy on the feta too

Guadalupe · 05/05/2009 19:23

It is a year today that I had my operation. Can't believe it's been a year really, it doesn't seem that long ago does it?

I do feel completely recovered. It has taken nearly until now though. Excuse duff syntax.

SuperBunny · 05/05/2009 19:24

Not real oak leaves, Guad? Oak leaf lettuce, surely? I thought real oak leaves were poisonous. They don't look very appetising anyway.

pointydog · 05/05/2009 19:25

what was the op?

SuperBunny · 05/05/2009 19:26

A year already. Wow. Hope you are ok, Guadalupe.

nickytwotimes · 05/05/2009 19:28

Evening.

I DID MY FULL 10 TODAY.
oj

melon
apple

ahem.

Please validate me.

I realise I have a way to go to reach the heady heights that F and Z regularly achieves, but I am very pleased with myself.

Oh, and good luck molly with the stopping smoking. It is great - I am such a smug ex-smoker. Honestly don't even miss it now.

GracieGrace · 05/05/2009 19:28

littlerach · 05/05/2009 19:37

Are you ok, Gracie?
It's the kind of thing dd2 does when she needs the loo.

mollyroger · 05/05/2009 19:37

sorry Gracie, she ain't here. Can we help?

pointydog · 05/05/2009 19:38

I had to bite my tongue, moll, but I knew it wouldn't be right either. I have some sense of boundaries
