For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

where's guad? do you think she is hungover? or maybe they re-fell crazily in love over the snickers parfait and cannot stop holding hands and so she can't type? i want to hear about the food

i like your precis molly
plus, good eating

boco ds gets twitchy about us being here in the evenings - he hates dp going out
after we say goodnight dp does chores noisily in the bedroom next to ds's - eg folding washing - so he can hear him while he falls asleep
could you put on music or tv or talk loudly to each other so she can hear you? or, i have a very nice poncy relaxation cd here going spare

avi are you 49 gosh
i remember how nice your bottom is (from infamous nekkid photo day)
i wish my bottom was half as nice and i am 37

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/04/2009 19:32

bunny i am dubious about the rum

100 what rude thing did you do?

the party was good and they have a NEW thing which is air propelled foam balls and OMG it was very very fun
you have these enormous air firing machines which you can swivel and aim and you put the ball in and it fires very hard at your friend, who is over the other side with another 3 air firing machines
there's also mad tubing where you put the ball in and it disappears up a big bendy pipe like augustus gloop, then pops out somewhere
i spent a large chunk of the afternoon playing
and have been slandered as "vicious and sneaky"
just because i was winning and THEY KNOW I WAS

oh guad
you forgot "competitive" in your list of my neuroses attributes

SuperBunny · 26/04/2009 19:37

well, the alcohol cooks off, doesn't it? So it's not really boozey, just gooey. Tis delicious. I had to make it to use up the rum - I won't drink it and it seemed silly to waste it...

I am off to do knitting and then to the pub

FrannyandZooey · 26/04/2009 19:40

oh no i meant the taste! i am not keen on taste of rum

OP posts:
mollyroger · 26/04/2009 19:52

oh franny, they are awesome, those foamy air guns!
We found some at a terrible play barn in Cornwall. But the shooters were so great, we forgave the place it's hokeyness and extortionate entrance fee.
Sigh.

You seem to have so many fab places to go/things to see near you.
We have lots of, erm, brisk breezy winds and nature. Which is nice...

but how I long for air foam shooters

FrayedKnot · 26/04/2009 19:58

SB that sounds delicious. I like rum in things although not to drink.

I have been on a bike ride today, a proper one, by myself, and it was fab. I got to a park in town and as I cycled in there was the smell f woodsmoke and some sort of pipey music and as I came round the corner an encampment with people dressed in medieval garb, pottering about eating breakfast and stuff. I felt like I'd fallen through a hole in the space/time continuum. Then I realized they were re-inacters and actually there for a St George's day fair (probably spelled "fayre" now I come to think of it).

We went back later with DS and at bedtime he said

"Mummy you are looking all red evil"

Couldn't think what he meant to begin with and then I realized....medieval

SuperBunny · 26/04/2009 20:01

FK. I want to go there. I love medieval reenactments [not cool emoticon]

Franny, I expect you could use anything. I am not usually a fan of food with alcohol in but this seems perfectly acceptable to me. Perhaps I shall experiment with brandy. Or Scotch. Or Bourbon. Why do I have a cupboard full of stuff I don't drink?

I was thinking about naked avi too

lol @ red evil btw

mollyroger · 26/04/2009 20:07

lol @ red evil!

DH and I have often discussed joining sealed knot or something, where we get to dress up, pretend, and cook over an open fire

mollyroger · 26/04/2009 20:08

disclaimer: We only discuss it. We are far too cool to actually join up or anythink.

honest.

FrannyandZooey · 26/04/2009 20:09

Lordy..erm...what Molly said and then Franny went to a party with foam guns, and SB has recommended a divine looking cake.

Yesterday I talked my ma and pa into having DS for the day for some soul nourishment for him...bless him. He came back looking well loved and FULL OF COCA-COLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess that is what grandparents are for...

I um...worked and then did stuff with my mad DD most of the day.
She is the most delightfully giggly thing. We did follow my leader on the climbing frame at the local park which is built for people like toot diminutive humans and I am 5' 8'' or something, and we made cakes, and musical instruments from things we found, and I chased her on her bike, and then lay on the bed laughing about the story of a man who had his rollerskate stolen by a mouse.

Rasberries,
cranberries,
oranges,
mango(lush)
tomato,
juice
apple,
banana,
cherry tomatoes,
hot homemade fudgecake and icecream

A 5k run,
a walk,
cycling with DD

........I have a blog on my site!

mollyroger · 26/04/2009 20:49

what a lovely day MW x
