For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am filing all this sling talk v useful, we had a baby bjorn thing for dd, I had never heard of Mumsnet or seen a real sling when dd was born . I will be picking brains about nappies later on too.

Bugger about the car Boco. I'd be screwed without mine . But lol @ 100x the expert on everything this week

Happy anniversary Guad

apple
satsuma x 2
apple juice
cucumber
pepper
onion
tomato
grapes
radish
coleslawy type things x 2

not bad, for me

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 20:40

Funny how you're reliant on the car already Boco Not so long ago you were terrified of the thought of it!

I was the same TF. Then I tried my friend's on and saw how easy and comfy and all round fab it is! And I'll talk nappies to you too! Did you use disposables with dd1?

DS had a poo today I wasn't expecting it til Monday so I was a little put out!

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 20:41

Thanks Franny. I'll look at that forum.
Do you have to join to have a nose?!

pointydog · 25/04/2009 20:44

I've skimmed through these posts and I have now forgotten everything I was going to say.

pointydog · 25/04/2009 20:47

boco, seriously scary car incident. Hope it is the brake fluid.

The 'Erbalist said well done to dd2 for drinking two weeks worth of absolutely horrid and foul and stenching planty medicine. And then prescribed another 5 weeks worth . That's when we were ashen. But she has added an Indian plant to the medicine mixture, just to give it an extra kick.

She said well done on going dairy free.

Basically, we carry on dairy-free with dd2 having planty medicine twice a day until our 6 week trial period is up.

Then we fall on our knees and praise the lord.

Boco · 25/04/2009 20:48

Have read it, looks like it'd make no difference as if it's contaminated it'd need to go to garage and if it isn't there's another problem and would still need to go to garage.

Yes Pink, am so reliant already. Not for every day, but means I can do swimming and food shopping and be independent from dp which is fantastic for both of us. I hope it's fixable and very very cheap.

Boco · 25/04/2009 20:49

Oh Pointy hope it works!

pointydog · 25/04/2009 20:50

orange juice
orange
cucumber
chick peas
baby corn and sugar snap peas
many almonds

you know, it';s actually quite good for me to eat 5 a day. I have bought dried apricots for my snakc next week. I now have banana or apricots instead of tasty fatty brucnch bar.

pointydog · 25/04/2009 20:52

well boco, if it doesn't work it will have taught us to truly appreciate all that is Dairy.

TigerFeet · 25/04/2009 20:57

Oh god yes I used disposables with dd

Lots of things will be different this time

I'm glad I have you guys and my RL mate Babieseverywhere to guineapig stuff for me so I know exactly what to get . Not sure I can be arsed to EC though (but don't tell BE).

Good luck with the witch doctor Pointy, is it helping at all? Is it for eczema? I jsut had to look up how to spell eczema

TigerFeet · 25/04/2009 20:58

It would appear I also need to look up how to spell "just"

tiger, witch doctor treatment not appearing to have any effect so far after 9 days. But it's early days and I am remaingin as open minded as I possibly can. My mind is ajar.

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 21:07

Oh I've just looked up the hip panda and there's a bit of controversy! Apparently the company won't let you sell them 2nd hand on ebay.

Pointy,I keep meaning to say, if you want any tips on doing thingsdairy free, just shout...I am vegan

pointydog · 25/04/2009 21:18

ok, ticky, good to know

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 21:18

at avi's rulebreaking

TigerFeet · 25/04/2009 21:20

How on earth could they stop you pink?

DH and DD both dislike mangoes. Not a problem as far as I'm concerned.

mollyroger · 25/04/2009 21:36

pah. Just suggested home made mushroom soup followed by scrambled egg and fresh English Asparafus for supper. DH ate the soup but then sulked at eggs and aspargus and came back in with fecking bacon butties. He is such a bloody heathen.

I stomped in and put asparagus on for me. and sort of threw bacon butty at him.

I think I may be a teeeny weeny bit pmt.....

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 21:41

Nothing wrong with bacon butties moll

By the way, have I mentioned lately how fabulous you all are? And thank you so much for my lovely things when ds was born. I use the stripey blanket all the time and dd loves shoving the carrot and banana at ds to play with!! And my Neals Yard stuff is just just divine and I showed my mum and she did this and my pig still makes me laugh and the calendar that came in the pack is up in the kitchen and I use my mug cosy cause it looks so pretty on my pink mug and the chocolate, oh the chocolate it's long gone but I rememeber it fondly. He sleeps in the pea sleeping bag and I've got a banana vest in the 3-6months bag which I went through the other day to find a hat and saw it and went like this

So anyway - thanks again!!

FrannyandZooey · 25/04/2009 22:13

oh hooray for pink and ds!

avi you are just such a renegade
i know pink, i would chuck her out, but she was here virtally before me, that's the problem

ds1 has put his worry dolls in the washing machine by mistake! and they were partly made of cardboard i think and they haven't got any heads any more
worry doesn't cover it, really
