For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

The shower is intermittently obliging.

Most inconvenient for nit-combing though, lots of kettles.

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 11:50

I know darn well you will eat all the basil bread.

Maybe I will make some for our picnic. I don't know how yet. I make quite a nice herb soda bread but I haven't tried it with ordnary flour.

TooT, you look v clean for not having hot water

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 11:57

Did you not? Why didn't you eat the top layer, I did!

Yes, lets go there again, or a different one. So many to try, so much food to eat. Mmm.

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 11:59

I don't think there is any danger of me not being able to eat a lot, LittleR. I am just thinking of damage limitation.

I am a bit tempted not to bring anyone to the picnic either, certainly not all of them though I expect I will have the littlest.

TooTicky · 25/04/2009 12:04

People thinking about having railway sleepers in the garden - we did and ours used to leak tar Lovely to sit on with your long cool G&T in the summer. Only you can't get up again and have black stains on your trousers

I did have a turn around the garden this morning. I watered my plants in my little greenhouse (disclaimer: shelving unit with plastic cover)

I like all my descriptions Perhaps we should add not-very-wordy cause I can't do descriptions of anyone else [thick]

We've just booked legoland and will probably be coming to London. Hoorah!

DH entered into a long discussion with some JWs once. I just felt sorry for the children and wanted to ask them in to watch TV or something!! I like your idea Molly about telling them all about your Gods

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 14:18

Hmm - the builder did talk about tar or creosote in the sleepers but I thought he was making a fuss because it's less work for him if we don't need footings and building.

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 14:50

It oozes out when it gets warm. Just in the odd spot. Worth having still cause they look lovely but just be aware and don't sit out there in white trousers

SuperBunny · 25/04/2009 14:58

Avi!

Oreos are dairy free, hurrah!

I will go with Toot and have:

green olives with garlioc and parsley flat brread and sticky toffee pudding.

Off out for girly day with friend.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 25/04/2009 15:06

Oh...I am working and you are all chatty and stuff...but I am going to throw this in because it is making me smile

Have good days all and especially those who are going out.....

pointydog · 25/04/2009 16:42

oreos are dairy free? Happy days.

Re the Lavender Restaurant - is it run by Timothy Spall?

The menu sounds utterly wonderful.

Dd2 and I had an appointment with The 'Erbalist today. We both looked rather serious and ashen.
