For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

25 children?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/04/2009 19:42

I think as the founder of 10/10 you MUST list (to make the rest of us feel better!)

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 11/04/2009 19:53

Hope you feel better soon Guad...lol at you hating the 'warrior'...if it is my name sake I luuurrrvvvee it, especially the L200 (swoon)

SB... and ((((())))). I am sure things will level out. The tension of leaving sometimes brings the worst out in us.

Went to MIL's and ate CRAP. so got out for a run and feel ACE. The moors were divine and the views are just to die for. I will have to be dragged kicking and screaming from this village!

DS's had a chance to pick easter eggs and both picked useful toys and a 3D solar model thingy.

Raspberries,
blackberries,
strawberries,
broccoli,
green beans,
cauliflower,
raisins,
juice,
apple,
banana,

And a run.

And now I am going to paint.. I am feeling freshly inspired.

SuperBunny · 11/04/2009 19:59

Party sounds good. I am also an internal wibbler (unless my mother is around when I become psychobitch, as you now know)

Run sounds good Mits - might go for one myself

FrannyandZooey · 11/04/2009 20:03

you're right lemur i was shirking
well tbh it is not going to sound that bad as i had my usual breakfast and lunch was ok
it's just what I am NOT mentioning that is best glossed over

banana
raisins
melon
grapes
some kind of purple smoothie
hummus
carrots

and a big blank space in which you can imagine the extraordinary non 10/10 ness of the rest of my day

birthdays, parties, bunnies, running, dengue fever , snakes etc etc Skimming thread! I have only been at home for around 3 hours in the past week; I am knackered! We got home from MILS by sea today (spent the day in the drizzle on the beach and we have friends coming by in around half an hour and really, I jus want to go to bed...

And tomorrow I am doing kids craft stall at stateley home (dresed up, but not as a pirate this year Tis animal theme....)

Oh and am attempting to bin evil fags (again). I only smoke around 5 a day but I do know that is five too many.

pinkspottywellies · 11/04/2009 20:57

banana, raisins/apricots, carrot/cuc/tomato/lettuce (2), peas, spinach, carrot, orange juice.

DS is having another 'growth spurt' either that or he's just a pig He's been feeding pretty constantly since 2.30 this morning [weak]

Franny, party sounds wonderful and I'm sure other organised people were taking notes!

Going to do egg hunt for dd in the morning. got a cute little basket for her to collect them in. don't know whether to do it inside tonight all ready or see if i can do it outside in the morning.

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 11/04/2009 23:08

ok, feeling paranoid now, Where are you all? Normally, when I'm not here, you all talk nineteeen to the dozen into the wee hours...

er, mushy peas
Melon
salsa
...

SuperBunny · 11/04/2009 23:15

Salsa
grapes X 2

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 12/04/2009 08:37

Heyy..molly! Hi. Best of look with quitting.

Pink...awwww don't disappear, they can be hungry little munchkins.

LR, my DD would have rabbit but we daren't let her have one because of her asthma. She is content with fish at the moment though. They ar very lovely though.

DS is having his bedroom decorated today.
He talked me into giving him quite an expensive sketch pad of mine as he wanted to do some serious drawing.
He has filled it with doodles dedicated to hius latest love....sigh! And the paper was gorgeous, and now covered in hearts and kisses! lol

womblingalong · 12/04/2009 08:52

Phew, birthday madness for DS over for another year. Franny, DS party sounds brilliant, hope he enjoyed it.

My DS went round singing Happy Birthday to himself all day, was v cute. He seemed to understand what was going on better than DD at 2, although he couldn't work out how to blow out his candles. Cake was divine, but too dark chocolatey for the DC's, I might try it with milk choc next year.

yesterdays list consisted of all the tops of the fairy vcakes I cut off, and a few carrot sticks and strawberries, a bit rubbish really.

Guadalupe · 12/04/2009 10:44

MW - It has NEVER occurred to me that your name meant the vehicle, tbh! I thought it was to do with you soldiering on and hadn't really noticed the make of car.

But then, that may be because I didn't even know the warror was a mitsubishi. I just asked dh and yes it is that, whatever you said, lt20 or something. I have no interest in cars. How funny that you love it. I loath it. Great guzzling hulking thing that makes tons of noise and announces its presence with muscles, 'I am a man van, I am bigger than the rest of you, see me roar past, why I even announce myself on the door, I am.... a WARRIOR, RAAAAAHHHH.

So, I am glad it's gone.

Dcs very pleased with their book and egg hunt, managed to get them eat some breakfast before the chocolate anyway! We are going out for lunch later. I feel a bit better, so I won't curse BIL too much.

OsmosisBanana · 12/04/2009 10:59

Happy Easter y'all.

We're doing a BBQ in the park opposite our house and taking Jim's sound system and generator so doubtless we'll be the least popular people in Bristol. Shucks. And we've made such an effort this year to play nice ;)

Hope everyone has lovely, sunshiney, happy days

xx

Guadalupe · 12/04/2009 11:09

Well, you can always invite the neighbours! Will it be very loud? Why in the carpark and not your garden?

Not in the car park! In the large park by our house! We did the car park last year FGS

We would invite the neighbours but they avoid all contact. It'll be fine. I'm making it out to be a little more obnoxious than it will be. As is my wont.

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2009 11:30

good luck molly
that is a fab decision and i offer you my full support

well we are all a little jaded here
the easter bunny has been
ds2 woke up too early so all slightly fraught
we are drowning in a sea of presents with missing bits and that kind of thing
this needs some clear headed organisation to put right
SO

i am going to the gym

byeeeee

Guadalupe · 12/04/2009 11:53

In the park? Blimey, well we are going for a fairly sedate if a little hectic luncheon.

Did I mention trifle? I am concerned as to how I will behave about the trifle. Hmm.

God ds2 is completely brown now. Better go.

SuperBunny · 12/04/2009 16:34
