For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco · 12/04/2009 19:43

Hello I'm fine thanks, had v. busy few days with inlaws staying and daytrips. Many varied and interesting daytrips from Orford castle to the dad's army museum

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/04/2009 19:53

I heart Orford, I want to retire there. I don't know why I like it so much, I just do.

LOL at Dad's Army museum. One of the writers son's lives in a village near here and owns a great cafe, however he goes to town when anybody asks him about Dad's Army, Are You Being Served etc You're trying to get on with your lunch and he's nattering away while you sort of smile through a mouth full of food!

I haven't had any choc today yet

banana
oj
leeks
peas
carrots
cauliflower
raspberries

We had a lovely walk from my M&D's house along the River Stour to Flatford, and rewarded ourselves with an ice-cream

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2009 19:54

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2009 19:56

lemur was it you looking for a more halter neck style nursing bra?

OP posts:
Boco · 12/04/2009 19:58

We tried to get to orford ness but all the boats were fully booked, it's very creepy, I was relieved, dp very annoyed, we ate picnic in blustery exposed spot while staring across teh water at it and the children shivered and complained.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/04/2009 19:59

No sorry not me, was it Pink? The ones I have at the moment are muscle back style and I want a normal bra style.

The National Trust have opened up that WW2 station at Orford Ness haven't they? We plan to go as part of our 'Tour of Suffolk'!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/04/2009 20:00

Did you go to the Smoke House in Orford Boco? OMG they do the best smoked bacon EVER. It's really thick and isn't pumped full of water like the supermarket shit. Their smoked stilton and garlic bulbs are divine too.

Boco · 12/04/2009 20:03

No, didn't got to smoke house, where abouts is it?
While we were there there was one of those sandwich boards for the east anglian daily times that said 'giant vulture on the loose!' = is that true? dds because terrified and have been nervously staring up at the sky ever since.

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2009 20:05

the smoke house is nice - i don't actually like smoked food but it is just interesting

yy lemur the ww2 stuff is really odd and cool
you have to be rowed out there, it has a very strange abandoned / surreal / x files / wicker man sort of vibe

You know where the main square is? If you face the shops with the castle on your right, it's down one of the side streets.

Don't know about the vulture!

TigOeufFeet · 12/04/2009 20:20

Now then veggers

Have been oop north, in Lancashire, relly bashing. DD has come home with her own body weight in chocolate but had a wonderful time being playing with my brother and sister, neither of whom have children, and for whom the novelty of being constantly climbed on and tickled etc etc didn't seem to wear off. I think they were glad to see the back of us by this afternoon though . The weather was gorgeous, blue skies and bright sunshine, we went to the beach yesterday and had ice cream. That will be the only time this year that the sun shines in Blackpool

Happy belated birthdays to miniFranny and miniWomble

I won't list. I don't want to disgrace myself.

Orford sounds interesting, I've never heard of it.

littlerach · 12/04/2009 20:32
