For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Exactly Franny, different not euphemism for wrong thing - he had only read first chapter then also. He's finished it now and liked it a lot. [tense jaw]

Boco · 23/04/2009 19:50

Hooray for Caroline!

TooTicky · 23/04/2009 20:03

WE NEED THE LEAF.

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2009 20:08

are you trying to be all stern TooT? i'm not fooled

OP posts:
Boco · 23/04/2009 20:10

Toot! Are you referring to cannabis?

littlerach · 23/04/2009 20:10

Guad, I have railway sleepers made into steps (by DH ,proud.) and I sit on them in the afternoon and drink coffee and watch the rabbit.

It is rather nice to do so.

womblingalong · 23/04/2009 20:17

Noooo Franny, we must have the whole title, leafng and all, it is genius, I haven't been able to stop singing it since last night. With TooT's words.

TooTicky · 23/04/2009 20:22

Any fricking leaf. Probably a salady one. Maybe an apple leaf.

Full title or I'm leafing [very stern]

TooTicky · 23/04/2009 20:28

And what's more, if you start a thread without the leaf bit I will fill it with nuts and seeds and hieroglyphics. SO THERE!

mollyroger · 23/04/2009 20:36

Hoorah for new ickle baby tigercub!

Franny, when you congratted me, I thought you were congratting me on my mention in MP's round-up, which was also that week. I didn't realise I had been witty twice in the same week? [thud]

mollyroger · 23/04/2009 20:45

ow Wow. Oh my word.

How is Dp?

Boco · 23/04/2009 21:20

Blimey. Poor Dp franny - is he ok? Is he going to see them or is that too hard? Good that they're being monitored I guess?

I've not done quite so well today - maybe 6 or 7. Lots of exercise and water though.

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2009 21:26

i have said he should go up there with ds1 - to see his dad
his health has never been good but it is deteriorating
i don't think dp will see his mum
he really feels very numb (he says he feels nothing for her) but i fear it will all come out at a later date

anyway sorry for huge dump of that!

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 23/04/2009 21:29

Oh Franny was it a shock? The break up I mean. Poor dp. Does he have any siblings?

Am all glowy with baby references here, I esp loved That's neat, that's neat, That's neat, that's neat I really love your TigerNews which almost raised a tear

You are all lovely

I haven't eaten anything that isn't toast today though

Guadalupe · 23/04/2009 21:35

Blimey. What a shock that must be for dp. 18 months sounds very long, I didn't know they did compulsary rehabs.

FrayedKnot · 23/04/2009 22:03

Hello

Franny that';s a bit of a shock...hope DP is OK. Have you found someone to look after DS?

Have done gym and lots of veg but not much fruit because I forgot to take it to work.

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2009 22:11

have found someone! god that was stressing me out, sorry
i thought i was going to have to cancel it, and...oh anyway, you know what a fussbudget i am

well
dp has been saying for ages FIL should leave MIL
but him actually doing it is of course another matter
and i think we imagined him living happily in a little flat somewhere playing his music
not in poor health and not very independent

Guad this has all been told me 3rd hand, do you think we have got wrong end of stick? that is what dp said, 18 months compulsory probation
i think she has been ruled unfit to care for herself and then there was the drunk driving thing
it does sound not quite right though - perhaps there is more to it

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2009 22:14

OP posts:
mollyroger · 23/04/2009 22:18

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2009 22:18

ok sorry i had it quite quite wrong
i mean completely wrong sorry
it is SIL that has got this care order in place so she is in compulsory rehab
and i made the 18 months thing up (sorry feel an idiot now but i am so tired this week and it was late one night we heard about it)

so
ignore half of what i said
sorry
