For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I've just realised that if we stay in Windsor I wouldn't be able to come out in the evening. Perhaps we'll stay local the first night, then go to Windsor. Urgh. Too complicated!! Thanks for the advice FK and SB/

Is it wrong to leave food to go 'off' on purpose? I've just made banana cakes and hot cross bun chocolate pudding with bananas and hot x buns that were past eating in thier natural state!

Guad at keeping lasagne to yourself! (Only cause I wish I'd thought of that ploy!)

FrayedKnot · 19/04/2009 21:40

It can;t be wrong pink because you can;t make banana cake with anything otehr than very ripe bananas, and what would life be without banana cake?

Guadalupe · 19/04/2009 21:58

I love banana cake. I leave them to go black for it.

Anyone watching that Mike Leigh film, Nuts in May? It's hilarious.

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 22:04

Mmm banana cake. I will have to make some this week. I have yet another pile of cunting bananas that are rotting before they even went ripe

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 22:24

Oh that reminds me - I have a mango! Will have it tomorrow and report on cuntingness.

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 22:27

Good Luck! I have a grapefruit. I have no idea why - I don't even like them.

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 22:44

I don't like grapefruit either!

I've just been reading a poo thread. Guess who's on there...... Franny!

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 23:24

Of course. What did you expect?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 20/04/2009 07:44

Bananas are vey contentious aren't they?

More so than Mangos IMO.

Banana cake isn't though. It is yummy with butter.

And carrots. They are the vegetables of satan and yet carrotcake is lush.

Life can be very curious at times.

Doughnuts are ace, and the rarely found apple doughnuts are divine. You just can't go wrong with Apple Pie though. It should be the national dish. Made right, Apple Pie could be said to be nutritionally perfect. Is Osba around? She should write her thesis on Apple Pie.

I could paint a HUGE scratch and sniff Apple Pie.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2009 08:46

well you should all be glad i am trying to limit my poo discussions to other threads at least
i was thinking the other day about the fictitious poo chart and how cross you all were and how flat the joke fell
oh dear
i was squirming all over again

sun is trying to come out here
seems like a metaphor for my pseudy life

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2009 08:47

how funny to not like carrots! they are so unobjectionable imo, even most children like them
i am not fond of doughnuts or apple pie
i prefer cakey things
or chocolate

poo chart? Dare I ask?!

We've got a whole punnet of bastard plums that won't rippen. Any tips?

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2009 08:50

i was wondering have most people that want to read 100's book done so now?
because can we start talking about the bits we particularly liked and not just p.203?
eg the bit where she appears through a hedge LOL
it pops into my mind and makes me laugh a lot
it is just so very 100
and dare i say it a bit 10 / 10 although i am not quite sure how i am justifying that claim

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2009 08:51

oh lemur no don't ask
you are post poogate and therefore think i am nice and funny and sensible, hopefully

it was all TooT's fault anyway

try the plums in a paper bag with a banana? it works for mangoes

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 20/04/2009 08:54

I used to work in Old folks homes so have had my fill of poo....so's to speak.

One lady had a filofax personal organiser that she used to 'log' her motions in...bless...

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2009 08:58

oh god

ds2 has had the fabbest 10/10 breakfast

melon
banana
prunes
grapes
oatcakes

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 20/04/2009 09:18

I'll try the banana thing with the plums. I guess the best tip woud be to not buy them out of season

People can get quite obsessed about poo, especially in hospital.

Have you passed a motion?
Eh?
Have you passed a stool?
Eh?
Have you had a poo?
Oh yeah, right, er, no.
Well make sure you tell us when you do so we can mark it on the chart.

I have read 100's book. I bloody loved it. She's good at sex don't ya know?!

Guadalupe · 20/04/2009 09:22

Franny - did you used to log your motions? Hmm?

The purple berry dorset cereal is rank, really sickly and heavy. I like the pink one.

Raspberries
sultanas
orange juice
apple

I'm not used to eating this much for breakfast atm, feel a bit bloated.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 20/04/2009 09:26

Hey...I spent 3 months in a spinal injuries unit, mostly unable to do anything for myself, if you want poo stories I am the queen of poo porn.....

Guadalupe · 20/04/2009 09:27

Er, not thanks.

Guadalupe · 20/04/2009 09:28

No even, though of course I hope your back is better.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2009 09:28

no no no i didn#t
i am just trying to avoid even discussing the subject
