For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

i think cadburys dairy milk is going fair trade now

22 inches! (you did mean inches not feet didn't you? )
that's amazing

100 that is very kind but i have bought a little 2009 diary for now
i was just browsing on the filofax website the other day [nonchalant]
Oh.
My.
God.
you can get a calculator that goes in a filofax, and a mirror, and to do lists, and stickers to say when you've been to the gym

aggh. I have meet-up problem. The earliest train on a sunday from my town is some time after 10am. Which means wouldn't get into Kings-X til 1.30pm at the earliest. Then have to get to greenwich. By the time I got ther, you'd all be going home
Last time I stayed over at a friend's on the sat night. But can't do that this time.

Will see what can be done.

Have been eating afternoon tea (finger sandwiches, cakes and cream scones. And cake. Several varieties of cake)
here. Sigh

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 19:55

avi and i won't be getting to greenwich much before 1 i don't think molly, if that helps

No no, I meant degrees! Celcius. Not feet or inches! I should have used words, shouldn't I!

Why does my Green and Black's dark chocolate egg have dairy in it?

Lovely place, Molly. I assume that is your humble abode?

pointydog · 19/04/2009 20:08

aha! Yes, G&B's now has dairy in it. Watch out.

There is a lindt dark chocolate bar that doesn't haev any, I have noticed.

littlerach · 19/04/2009 20:09

I knew what you meant SB.
It came out lovely and warm here this afternoon.
I have planted beetroot now.

TT has been sneezing
I don't know if we should go to the vets?
Maybe he has hayfever?

Broccoli
carrots
green beans
dried fruit mix

If I come ot the meet up it will be about lunchitme before I get there too.

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 20:10

they don't contain dairy, but there might be cross contamination from the factory line

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 20:17

i do notice that the average filofax owner seems to go on dates and out to dinner considerably more frequently than they go to the gym
fat bloated yuppies eh

I need some London advice from people who know London please. We're thinking about having a few days in Windsor (Legoland, castle) so, would we be best driving down and if so is it worth driving the greenwich bit? ie is it within congestion charge area and will parking be a joke? And what public transport could we get from Windsor to Greenwich........ and any other ideas or advice.... Or shall I start a thread?

And salad (2) stir fry (2) satsumas, melon (tiny bit)

I want to go running tonight. But I also want to bake and need to do washing and tidying and generally getting organised for the week. Think the running can wait but if I haven't gone by the end of the week, please make me go!

pointydog · 19/04/2009 20:20

lettuce
carrot sticks
coupla cucumber sticks
few mini tomatoes
remains of curry with chickpeas, corn, couple sugarsnap things

I thought I had done better

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 20:21

Sticker away

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 20:30

Ooooo, stickers! I don't go out for dinner OR to the gym so they may be wasted on me. Why do filofax not do stickers for F&V?

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 20:32

I used to live nr Windsor. I saw the castle burn down and remember Legoland when it was the zoo. You can get the train straight to London. It's not far.

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 21:10

Franny - the ingredients says 'whole milk powder' Lindt is better anyway!

Don't rabbits get colds? My guinea pigs did.

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 21:15

yes but it really does not contain whole milk powder except by contact from factory lines

it could be an issue for extremely allergic people hence them including it as ingredient (really odd decision to put on ingredient list not just 'may contain traces')

Pointy - have you come across Booja Boojas, or Montezumas? They are really nice, especially the raspberry boojas that come in the fridge.

My veg lasagne was a triumph. It was so nice I made them all an ommlette and divided it into portions to keep for myself in the freezer. Well, they're not that keen on it anyway.

Roasted veg x2
orange
strawberries
raspberries
pineapple
tomatoes
watercress
juice

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 21:23

yum, veg lasagna. Maybe I'll make some too. How does one make dairy free lasagna?

Thanks for link Franny. Will eat egg now! hurrah!

FrayedKnot · 19/04/2009 21:23

Pink I think if I were you I would get the train - I think you would come into Paddington and then you'd have to work out the best route via tube etc. The website Franny mentioned - TFL - is good for planning journeys, loads of maps etc.

You could drive but I think parking might be difficult on a nice sunny day (which it will be ).

Guadalupe · 19/04/2009 21:27

Well, I only added creme fraiche to the top, didn't bother with bechamel, so I guess you could leave that off. You may as well just have pasta with the roasted veg then though.

FrayedKnot · 19/04/2009 21:28

Dairy free lasagne - make a bechamel sauce with dairy free spread and soya milk?

Or you could just do a tomato based sauce and no gloopy bechamel.

I couldn;t do it though, lasagne wouldn;t be right for me without cheese.

Guadalupe · 19/04/2009 21:32

Oh, yes, you could do that. I would miss cheese though, would rather not have the lasange.

Another reason for wanting to keep it to myself was how long it took me to work out how many points were in it. Zillions. Which is why I only put stuff on the top and did pissy portions. Had a big salad though.
