For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Sparkly flip flops

we are off to the canal where dd2 was jumped on by the dog. With the same friends.
I may don a hat and sunglasses in case Mean Man with Dog is about

TT went a bit nuts last night and tried to do a somersault in his hutch
Dh had bought him a wicker ball and I htink it was in reaction to this.

Shall I talk rabbit weaning next? It is a complicated business and Animal Health Care Professionals never agree on it

Raisins

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 09:45

LOL Rabbit Led Weaning

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 19/04/2009 10:18

People with dogs are thoughtless lr. I was jumped on by the biggest Alsation on Friday....all i did was frown and the woman had a go at me.

I jogged on........

I have a migraine.....

TT sounds fab, there is just something about baby bunnies that melts your heart.

100 should perhaps be a Guru..new insert in Titles...'with added focus and a sex-guru..'

TooTicky · 19/04/2009 10:50

So sorry you have a migraine Mits xx

I frequently divert by up to 2 miles to avoid dogs.
Or cross the canal locks.
Or cut through a field, panic over another dog, head back to canal over ditch, under barbed wire, through hedge, between branches of small bramble-encrusted tree...to emerge onto the path in full view of passing boat and walkers

But I have no problem with nice dogs that I know...

TooTicky · 19/04/2009 11:16

And hello to everybody obviously

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 11:21

LOL @ 100x being good at sex

I take it the snow's all gone SB? Or the sparkly flip flops are a bit crazy!

The TT stories reminded me of when 100 first got JJ too

Dried apricots, pears, orange, apple juice. Going to ils for lunch and there'll be salad and dinner is veg stir fry - Chinese in honour of the Grand Prix (which was brilliant!!) Should be a reasonable day. Will go for a walk up the fields at ils to do 10/10!

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 11:24

Hooray!! I just had to check that the meet wasn't on an f1 weekend (or we couldn't have come ) but we're ok! Now I have to look at trains.

TooTicky · 19/04/2009 11:32

Is looking at trains a regular hobby of yours Pink?

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 11:35

[geek] oh yes, I spend most Sundays at the station. We each have a notebook to write down numbers and models. DD can't write yet so she draws them

pinkspottywellies · 19/04/2009 11:36

I've also just looked on the National Rail website and found reasonable train fares for the meet up

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/04/2009 11:39

Oh I do like the TT stories. Keep them coming LR. We could have regular updates of the Adventures of TT....

Franny have you tried Birkenstocks? DH has to wear orthotics (sp?) in his shoes from time to time and his podiatrist encouraged him to wear Birki's. Which he has got, but walks like a tit in as he holds on for dear life with his toes because he thinks they will fall off

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/04/2009 11:46

Oh yes, I meant to comment on SB's Oreo consumption. When I was young I was desperate to try an Oreo as they were often mentioned in American film/tv etc, so I thought they must be heaven on earth because they were like, you no, so coooool.

Then they started to import them and appeared on Tesco's shelves at some silly price. However I must have gone on and on about them because I got some in my Christmas stocking. Well I didn't care about my other gifts, I was just thrilled with my Oreo's.

But then I opened them and tried them, and realised they were average tasting choc biscuits with cream in the middle. I thought they were going to be fucking nectar!

The swine's!!

It's been much the same with vegemite, tim-tams and Hersheys.

littlerach · 19/04/2009 12:17

Same here, Lemur.
I blame the Paula Danziger books.
When we went to the States I was so excited to try everything I'd read baout.
Hersheys were the most disappointing.

I have looked at trains too. But some of them take 3 hrs to get there

Guadalupe · 19/04/2009 13:53

It could easily take us four hours to get there, the trains are a bastard on a sunday. Might drive.

I love oreos, especially those mini ones. I am hosting book group tomorrow so I might get some. Horrible book. Mr Pip. Anyone read it?

Right - I have hinted about going out for lunch but no, the purse is empty, so I am making veg lasagne. Haven't had that for years. I am going to use creme fraiche instead of bechamel. I did that once before with half fat and it curdled into this rankness and was inedible. I am hoping today will be more successful.

Guadalupe · 19/04/2009 13:58

I just got 18/20 on a spot the fake smile test. I knew I was a good judge of character.

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 14:11

i tried to read mr pip but it got upsetting so i stopped
i really really love great expectations, it is one of my favourite books

hersheys tastes complete crap doesn't it? and sounds so lovely - chocolate kisses
i thought they would taste like those lindt balls do - i used to adore them - but gone off them rather, they are too sweet and sickly really aren't they

i've been to the gym - 1 hour
and seem to have done something to my back
dp says keep moving around so it doesn't get stiff
bastard

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2009 14:12

ahundredtimes · 19/04/2009 15:18

Sorry - haven't read thread at all, will do later.

Rushing on to say - am tidying study. Franny - have found an A5 (is it?) desk diary type affair for this year. Not a day a page, but a week over the two pages - with appointment times, in columns.

Do you want it until the July ones start? Unused. Say or I'll check out, might do you through until the next ones start? (Is from dh's agents, they send one every year)

ahundredtimes · 19/04/2009 15:20

chuck out not check out

TigerFeet · 19/04/2009 16:18

gardening with knackered pelvis = v v bad idea

have been sent inside to put my feet up but have to go to work for an hour in a bit

I am counting the seconds until I can have a soak in the bath... 12,600... 12,599. .. 12,598

I wanted to watch the grand prix but didn't wake up in time, dd slept until well past nine this morning

melon (2)

rubbish

If I go to the meetup I will have to drive to N London then get the tube. The trains from here are bobbins and expensive. Pink it's a shame that there are too many of you to fit in my car.

SuperBunny · 19/04/2009 16:54

Yep, snow all gone. Twas 22' yesterday and amazingly sunny but today is rainy so I m staying home and coooking and stuff.

Sorry to all people who get jumped on. I quite dislike small snappy dogs who yap at me when I walk past. They always make me want to kick them (which I don't do. Obviously)

Most American things are pretty average but NEVER eat their chocolate. Even after 6 years, I can't eat it. They don't really do biscuits here, not like in the UK, so your choice generally is Oreos or chocolate chip ones. TBH, I preferred the Maryland Choc chip cookies I used to get in Tesco my local shop.

I read today that from 2020, Mars will be only using cocoa from ethical sources. I thought 'Hooray' but then realised it is over 10 years away.

I have not read Mr. Pip and I think I don't want to.
