For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 04/04/2009 20:38

ds2 has bit of eczema creeping back over face now
i gave him some tomato to test yesterday - we had been avoiding it
i wonder if that is it or if is start of another rollercoaster of trying to find link and failing

FrayedKnot · 04/04/2009 20:43

Don;t think I'll bother listing

Have made up with veg curry tonight but other than that I think it was an apple..

I have potted on 35 seedlings this afternoon

I now have to leave them with DH for a week and hope he waters them

TooTicky · 04/04/2009 20:52

I have eaten a tomato and some slices of cucumber. Oh, and some raisins.

And I think I have just run 2 miles.

pinkspottywellies · 04/04/2009 21:18

2 people have said that ds's cradle cap/scabbiness looks exactly like what turned out to eczema in their child [terror]

Erm. Tomato, celery, orange juice, 2 tiny carrot sticks. Will go and have a banana now. Still rubbish though. It's the toast breakfast I have on F1 weekends that stuffs it up. Must try harder.

TigOeufFeet · 04/04/2009 21:38

pink thank you so much for my parcel, dd was delighted and has gone to bed with the book under her pillow I can't get over how teeny the vest is (I have a VEGETABLE VEST dear veggers ) It is actually the first thing that we have that is specific to this baby, rather than all the stuff we have hanging around that was dd's. This child is already very much an NSC

Thank you thank you thank you xx

Guadalupe · 04/04/2009 21:39

All mine have had a lot of cradle cap. I've never done anything about it, it didn't bother me or them.

Would the tomato affect him that quickly, Franny? I suppose you don't know really, the whole thing is a speculation isn't it.

Right dh is raising eyebrows at me. Better start the film.

pinkspottywellies · 04/04/2009 21:39

Tiger

FrannyandZooey · 04/04/2009 21:53

i dunno guad
as you say
if you can't find any rhyme or reason to it, then it could strike at any time and you have no control whatsoever over it
which to uptight freak like me is TERRIFYING

greeny is coming to stay, hurray!
at the end of may

FrannyandZooey · 04/04/2009 21:55

oh we watched some flight of the conchords! god it was sphincter tightening - dp loved it, especially the helmet that looked like his own hair
i find that kind of social embarrassment comedy quite hard going
it was very funny but i winced a lot

littlerach · 04/04/2009 22:15

Dd2 still has abit of cradle cap now and she is 4.
We did th eolive oil and I also had to stop myself picking it

SuperBunny · 05/04/2009 04:43

Mits, sorry re cauterising. Arts thing looks fab. If I were in the UK, I'd come and see you.

Um, have read thread but forgotten lots.

Cradle cap is v tempting. I did olive oil too but desperately wanted to pick at it.

16 is v impressive Fran.

I love simnel cake. I need to make hot cross buns. I made the mixed peel weeks ago and it is just sitting in a pot in the fridge.

Cheese & crackers
Brie and apple sandwich
Cheese & wine & fancy chocolate
Wasabi peas
Lots of walking
2 grapes

10

SuperBunny · 05/04/2009 04:44

Flight of the Conchords doesn't make me laugh much - I smile sometimes and squirm a lot.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/04/2009 07:43

Did you enjoy Babel Guad? I'm guessing it's by the same director as Crash as they were very similar and I'm sure they had the same music in. I liked it anyway though.

Forgot to list yesterday:

banana x2
dried fruit
tomatoes
satsuma
mushrooms
avocado
red onion

I seem to be getting stuck at 8 at the moment, I need to put more effort in.

It was late by the time we actually went to watch it and then we noticed it was over two and a half hours long so I'll watch it tonight. We saw rest of the Jane Campion film, In The Cut, that we'd started to watch a while back. It's a very odd film.

I haven't seen the conchords thing, I'm not very good with comedies. I watch dh rolling around laughing sometimes and I haven't so much as twitched a smile.

shop bought freshly chopped mango and pineapple and pomegranate.

Guadalupe · 05/04/2009 09:26

and then I am in hysterics over something that isn't supposed to be funny.

Very impressed with home made peel.

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2009 10:39

yes bunny it was squirmy
boco and bee said i would love it
i will try again though, sometimes you have to overcome squirminess to get to the true humour
dp used to make me watch alan partridge but after the first couple of series i could not bear it
the one where he stands in the car park shouting 'dan! dan! dan! dan! dan! dan! dan!" for half an hour - oh god the agony
i said that was enough alan partridge for one life time

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2009 10:40

oh god and THE OFFICE

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2009 10:46

Dan! Dan!

TooTicky · 05/04/2009 10:49

Ha, I'm not clicking on that. I am defiantly perky this morning but fear that would topple me.
It would probably topple Mary Poppins. And Maria von Trapp and Anne of Green Gables and Pollyanna.
Topple topple topple topple, just like that.

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 05/04/2009 11:31

lol, love Alan Partridge.
Love squirmy comedy.

TooTicky · 05/04/2009 11:34

Hello Molly

Anybody got any ideas on this ?

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 05/04/2009 11:37

sorry Toot, not much help. But could she not cut out meat for a meal and see?

Quickly, how much would you pay for a cup of tea and a homemade slice of cake at a 'charity' tea stall?

littlerach · 05/04/2009 11:41

Molly, dds school charged £1 I htink.

TooTicky · 05/04/2009 11:42

problem is, it all gets vastly complicated where she and my mother are involvedcand I have been asked to Find Out...

Um, at school/playgroup events cakes always seem v underpriced. Um. Well certainly £1.50...
