For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

nice dongle TooT

I didn't know Avi did EC, not sure I can be arsed myself (disclaimer: unless skin condition demands it) but shhhhh don't tell BE

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 19:15

no i think it is marvellous idea but also couldn't be bothered, tiger i mean i just didn't see how to do it while looking after ds1 also, and working and stuff
then ds2 was so awfully itchy that taking his nappy off was very fraught - things improved a bit though and of course the more time he has with nappy off the better his bottom gets
anyway given all that i must say it has been blindingly EASY to get to this point, i mean i hardly did anything
well maybe it's beginners' luck

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 19:17

toot you dongling fool

bunny i didn't train ds1 either
i left it till he was so ridiculously ready he did it himself virtually

pinkspottywellies · 31/03/2009 20:05

Mitsubishi I love those shoes about ds's outburst.

SB did you ever find an apron for ds? I saw them again at the car boot last weekend. Thomas ones and all sorts. I'll get you one if you still haven't got one.

Can't imagine managing EC - too much to think about. I'm hopeless at remembering to change nappies, let alone catching wee!

Won't list. Went out for most of the day. Although probably 4 for breakfast and about 1 for dinner - spag bol. So got 5 like the normoes!

I managed to get to bed at half 8 last night Feel a bit better today but not as good as I feel entitled to after going to bed so early!! Going to go quite early again tonight but still got washing to hang and baby to change.

I've been bathing the dcs in the day as a good hour or so of activity, rather than rushing it at bedtime. It works out quite well Going to do it tomorrow. Sorry, don't know why I told you that

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 31/03/2009 20:11

oh my word. I don't wish to tempt fate but I believe I may have turned a corner.
I feel almost perky!

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 20:12

pink i thought the same
but basically if you cue them to use the potty each time you change a nappy, that will be one less wet nappy to change, or one less hour or whatever they are sat in a wet nappy
i can't imagine ever doing it successfully all day but i don't think it has to be like that

oh shoes
i looked at the clarks shoes in RL and they were IMO an ugly shade of green
why is everything better on the internet?

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 20:14

pink we gave up on baths at bedtime quite early on
agree with you it is much better in the daytime
i would so love to bath dses together
not possible yet as ds2 scratches and has mad oily stuff in the bath
but i can hope it will be soon
it will be so cute!

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 31/03/2009 20:14

pmsl at normoes....

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 20:15

ds1 still awake! blimey
what a mess this hour thing is

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 31/03/2009 20:15

IKWYM, I always feel such a failure if I only manage 5 a day.

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 20:16

5 a day is a bit poor isn't it

pinkspottywellies · 31/03/2009 20:36

Me too Molly but I don't generally have any less than 5 which is more than most of the normoes (who aim for 5 and manage 1) so I still feel quite virtuous

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 31/03/2009 20:39

absolutely!

A man is comng on thursday to see if we'd make good doggy parents

The mne in my life have beaten me down and we are getting a dawg.
I'm prepared for non of you to speak to me again.
I promise never to let my dog jump up at a child, or to not scoop after it.

FrannyandZooey · 31/03/2009 20:40

banana
raisins
melon
grapes
baked beans
onion rings
mini spinach salad - not a portion

erm that's
er
well
5

TigerFeet · 31/03/2009 20:45

It's a good job a man didn't come round to see if I would make a good people parent

Good luck Mol, I think you will be a great doggy owner. I'd love a dog but don't have the lifestyle for one, I am too fond of lie-ins and we spend a lot of weekends away.

I'm probably averaging about five a day atm [glows with health]

ChairmumMiaow · 31/03/2009 20:49

banana
melon/pineapple/mango
carrot (raw)
carrot(cooked)
cabbage
cauliflower
currants

I'm getting better

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 31/03/2009 20:51

that is the wonderful irony TF; it is a whole heap harder to adopt a dog than a child, seemingly

TigerFeet · 31/03/2009 20:55

You'll be fine Molly, you have boys. Boys are like dogs, apparently . And, 100x uses a doggy training book for parenting advice. And she is very wise.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/03/2009 21:33

Just a quicky

banana
blueberries
dried fruit
oj
carrot
runner beans - the bastards were stringy
cabbage

Good luck tomorrow Mitsubishi.

What sort of dog Molly?

Good listing Chairmum, once you get the momentum going it gets easier (says she who has only listed 7 )

Well done for getting an early night pink. I try to get an early night most nights, but it often doesn't work out that way.

I went to see my nephew's school play today. As per usual, I had a tear in my eye. My sister thinks it's hilarious that I get emotional. There's something about young 'uns doing plays though isn't there? I'm a wreck at Nativity plays And when they sing We Wish You a Merry Christmas, that just about finishes me off

OOh Molly a real live dog! You can ask 100 for advice What sort will it be?

Funny about the 5-10 thing, a bit like an "Eighth of a Muffin", we have got so used to 10 that 5 seems rubbish

FrayedKnot · 31/03/2009 21:54

Especially if your 6th portion was an extra large helping of frozen peas, because you knew otherwise you would only scrape 5

TooTicky · 31/03/2009 21:55

Hello FK

FrayedKnot · 31/03/2009 22:01

Hello TooT

Do you know how long it takes papier mache to dry?
