For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Rooibos infusion is soothing for skin. I don't know a lot about it tbh. Also oat infusion.

Another washing sniffer here. Am off out to hang mine now. I am hardcore though, I hang it out all year round...

Am I BU to be a little that my Dad has said he will not discuss the breakdown of my marriage or how I am feeling at all with me. He gets on well with H but knows I am not the type to just 'dis' H......

And then spent over an hour asking for empathy over a disagreement he is having with his sister.

Guadalupe · 16/03/2009 13:41

Hello, where have you been, we need reports and glamour and vol-au-vents?

Your book had a lot of shelf space in Borders today, it was facing outwards in three bits with a whole row inbetween. I looked around for someone to tell how good it was but no-one was near. I might ask to do one of those 'customer recommends' things, or do they just do that in the childrens section?

ahundredtimes · 16/03/2009 13:52

Oh I don't know. How exciting though, I like the facing out row thing. Sorry, have had stupidly busy and sociable weekend. Was v. nice on Friday, very scary too.

Guadalupe · 16/03/2009 14:00

We will forgive you, in fact we were having a wildly glamorous book launch of our own, hardly noticed you were missing in fact.

ahundredtimes · 16/03/2009 14:07

Right, I must go and concentrate as only two weeks until holidays. That can't be right can it? They've only just gone back to school.

littlerach · 16/03/2009 14:10

Oh ahve you had it done TooT/
I was meaning like the photos you linked too, lol.

But photos of you are needed now!!

100, glad Friday was good

Guadalupe · 16/03/2009 14:16

Feels like easter is soon. I bought a box of chicks in borders.

AtillasGotABrandNewBag · 16/03/2009 15:15

Fablious 100............

pinkspottywellies · 16/03/2009 16:17

Sorry, haven't read yet but just saw FK's pirate map thing - how about a 3d map? You could use fondant icing (coloured with food dolouring) for the x marks the spot, lake etc and then things like lego trees.

Anyway, just a thought now I have to go and make tea. Will catch up later. Or go shopping. Yeah, I should go buy food.

SuperBunny · 16/03/2009 17:25

Hello

Not doing well atm

I am craving starchy things all the time (cake & crisps) and seem to be needing 14 hrs sleep a day which I just can't manage. On Saturday, I slept for 9 hrs, had a lunch time nap and another one at 6 and went to bed at 10 for another 9 hrs. It's ridiculous.

Plus stress, excema and upset at work, where one of the children died

So, feeling bit sorry for myself and am not managing and F&V. Silly thing is, I know it would make me feel better if I did it eat.

Anyway, did read thread but forgot everything. Love to all.

SuperBunny · 16/03/2009 17:25

pirate cake ideas sound v good.

mollyroger · 16/03/2009 17:48

oh bunny

I have had a speed seed planting session after work - lettuce, rocket, coriander, sweetpeas, tomatoes and red cabbage all nestling on my magic window sill as we speak.

I have eaten a load of crap today. Have made veg stew for dinner to compensate. Onions, ssweet pot, parsnip, muchrooms, carrots, turnip. Will be served with peas and baked spud. (and lasings of butter)

We thoroughly enjoyed our (virtual) book launch, 100...
Even though Certain People were altogether too interersted in copping off with people.

Is it all a little anti-climatic now?

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2009 17:57

i can see ds2's eczema coming up again and i can't do anything about it
it's like some ruddy horrible rollercoaster and you can't get off

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2009 17:58

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 16/03/2009 18:01

How awful, Bunny. Sorry to hear that.

FrayedKnot · 16/03/2009 21:07

Oh Bunny how awful

Is it worth getting your thyroid / iron levels checked? Not sure how you are set up for healthcare over there.

When my thyroid is low I just feel like however much sleep I get it's never enough.

Oh dear Franny things had been better hadn;t they. Has anything different happened?

At this exact time 5 years ago I was giving birth

Today DS just had a normal cake , and when he'd blown his candles out he said "come on everyone let's dig it up"

I think he meant "let's dig in"
