For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Toucan, I should imagine 100x is recovering from her launch. Possibly still sailing.

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 20:50

Could be worse TooT, you could have different anatomy to climb

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 20:53

FrannyandZooey · 15/03/2009 20:54

There is no interesting landscape round here. It is flatter than flat. Perhaps I should carve a mango into a cabbage field or something. People would come from far and wide, oh yes indeed.

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 20:56

oh bugger sorry Fran, didn't mean to snigger at your Cerne Abbas nasty experience

SenorToucan · 15/03/2009 20:56

I think people usually beat them with sticks Avi. The contents are small plastic items which last until 5 minutes after they come out and scarily artificial sweets which last forever.

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:04

I have a Very Cold leg. I have decided it needs air, so it has its pyjama rolled up and is on top of the quilt. I should possibly shut the window, that might help.

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 21:11

Put the leg under the quilt TooT you nutter, then it will get warm

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:18

I can't Tiger, it will stick

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 21:21

stick?

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:22

Yes, it has developed an unsightly sore which is a bit weepy. I have been walking around with one trouser leg rolled up all day.

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 21:26

Oh no! Ick! Can you sacrifice a pair of tights to the cause and cut a hole so it gets air?

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:28

Hmm, I don't really own tights [tomboy]

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 21:29

No, me neither [yeasty]

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:32
Grin
TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:38

So, hairwise, am I doing this but with more fringe although I suspect it would need fiddling with in the mornings and may rely on the colouring for some of its effect, or this kind of thing, or short'n'spiky, or just a wee trim, or WHAT???!!!

TigerFeet · 15/03/2009 21:41

I think that the first one, without colour and with more fringe, would look like the second one anyway, non? I like v much. I wish I had the bollocks to cut my hair short, but I am round of arse and nork and would perhaps look odd. I love styles that are longer at the front.

CompareTheMeerkat · 15/03/2009 21:51

Am very bad at not dropping in more often. Will continue to try .

(have to say that I saw SenorToucan on another thread, thought I knew who it was and found her on this thread and knew I was right )

TooTLooP · 15/03/2009 21:54

I am driven to it - long hair makes me tetchy as soon as the weather turns warm. It is kinda liberating though...
