For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I've never tried dried pineapple. Have you had those shrinkwrapped whole dried bananas? They are like little slimy poos. Horrible.

I've just had a delicious warm salad of lemon/pepper prawns, roasted cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, watercress, spinach, olives and toasted seeds with coriander and some vinaigrette. God it was nice. Then raspberries. Yum.

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 14:12

hello, haven't had time to digest thread yet. I am full of cold and am sitting here with tissues rammed up each over-productive nostril. It's a fetching look....

And the wierdy diy man next door is banging and hammering and I want to sleeeeeeeppp.

Lentil soup
pineapple

self pity

mollyroger · 23/03/2009 14:22

Guad that's a seriously nice lunch for a weekday

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 14:47

It was three for two in M&S so I treated myself. I am not allowed very much to eat so I try and make what I do eat nice!

And it was ARCTIC in town today, my spring coat was not up to the job, was all I could do not to get a cab home. I trotted back sharpish.

littlerach · 23/03/2009 14:50

at Guad's lunch.
Yum.
It is so windy here, the washing is almost off the line.

Get well soon Molly

I have been offered additional hours from september in my favourite job. But will be harder work. But still v convenient. I should do it. And I oculd possibly give up the other job which I don't like as much as it is some evenings.
Ho hum.

Celery
humous
banana

FrannyandZooey · 23/03/2009 15:08

i like virtually all of it
even the couscous is fab
the firecracker rice salad is fab
the sprouted pea salad is fab
the veg sushi is good
the rainbow superfood salad is fab
the giant couscous with butternut squash is fab
the sandwiches are however dull and not good

i have bought socks for ds1
he kept saying all his socks had holes in
i finally checked and they do
and the worst of it is, i know why they all have holes in
i forgot to cut his toenails for about 6 months when ds2 was about to be born / was born
i was appalled when i finally saw the state of them
hang me now

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 15:13

lol, dd scissors through her tights with her toenails too. She is a nightmare about having them cut.

I looked at that large cous-cous but I wasn't sure. I might try it if you say it's nice. I don't remember seeing that whole list though. The lemon and pepper prawns were on offer too. I love them.

FrannyandZooey · 23/03/2009 15:15

they seem to rotate what is in stock so you can't get them all every time
the giant couscous with butternut squash is very nice indeed
i wish they stocked it more often

Franny, I routinely neglect various aspects of my children.

Yes Guad, bloody starving

littlerach · 23/03/2009 16:34

My socks have holes in too.
But I do cut my toenails.

dd1 reminds me to cut her toenials on a regular basis.
Learning independance and all that!

Do you think i can reheat yesterdays pasta with marscapone on it?

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 16:55

I have bought pizza bases. I never buy pizza bases. I fear it is all downhill from here.

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 17:10

yes Toot you are on the road to damnation
here have a bacon sandwich

i am uploading pictures, can anyone see them?

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 17:14

the sizings are all wrong

there's one of me which is giant but I can't make it smaller

stuffitllama · 23/03/2009 17:16

I'll have to do some more later, everything is freezing up, the one's up so far are a bit rubbish

it took ages too

SuperBunny · 23/03/2009 17:28

@ all this m&s food. I want some.

Toot, sometimes convenience has to come first, above morals, ethics & the usual way of doing things. I am sure pizza bases are ok. Fishfingers might be a bad sign though.

Broccoli
Astronuat ice cream (it was really good until I read the ingredients)

SuperBunny · 23/03/2009 17:32

Why does DS always take all of his clothes off at naptime? He always comes out and says, "Do you see, I have no clothes on?"

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 18:09

Stuffit - I can't see you? Am I a friend?

Toot - buying bases? Blimey, I would feel quite virtuous if I put a topping on a base. Pizza is something I buy. I used to make it years ago.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 23/03/2009 18:17

I can't see your pictures either Stuffit.

banana
dried fruit
oj
coleslaw
humous
carrots x2
cauliflower x2

I do not make pizza, not when Domino's do it so well

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 18:23

Shop pizza base doesn't appear to taste of anything.

snorts fruit shoots>

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 18:24

Stuffit,I can only see one picture.

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 18:26

Not shop bought pizza base TooT

I am teasing you - do you remember you said that to me about a birthday cake once? I've always loved that you said that. lol @ injecting sunny d.

Oh Stuffit please put up more photographs. I want to see things. I have loads of questions to ask you, but I think you don't want to be asked them. is that right?

littlerach · 23/03/2009 18:29

More photos??

where are they StuffiT?

Did you put anything on the base TooT?

Reheated pasta seems fien, so far!

ahundredtimes · 23/03/2009 18:30

Today healthy athlete who lives in my house, made herself a delicious salad for lunch, with prawns and things, and I watched her doing this, leaning heavily on the counter top, then when her back was turned I actually STOLE two prawns off her plate. That's really bad isn't it. I did confess.
