For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh yeah, and I think the pelvic floor thing must be genetic as my mum and sis haven't suffered any weakening either. When pg I didn't have to get up in the night to wee, and I drink a lot.

However I haven't done the trampoline test!

Is Winterton in Norfolk Guad?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:21

Ouch for Little FK. That sounds painful.

Guadalupe · 22/03/2009 19:22

Yes, it's just south of Waxham

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:24

God, I really need to learn more about my neighbouring county. Saying that, I need to learn more about the county I live in. In fact dh and I have decided that our aim this year is to visit every interesting town in Suffolk. We need to have a plan for the weekends otherwise we end up bimbling or shopping and buying stuff we don't really need.

Guadalupe · 22/03/2009 19:27

I love the Suffolk beaches too. We used to live just outside Southwold when I was eleven or so and I spent half the year cycling over to Walberswick

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:31

What a lovely part of the county to live in Guad. Did you go crabbing?!

We thought about going to Walberswick at Easter, but thought it might be a bit mental there.

Are you in Norfolk now? Don't answer if you don't want to, I'm being nosey.

FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2009 19:32

at bimbling

i am panicking about the impetigo with (you guessed it) ds2's eczema
i don't think the other child even went near ds2

We used to be wildly comptetive about crabbing! In fact, I am still quite bad, dcs whining, muuum, can I have a go now pleeeease.

Yes, Norfolk now.

Franny - it will probably be fine, we only get it when we're run down, if your immune system is strong it will be fine. All that fruit will do it.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:35

If the other child didn't go near ds2 I shouldn't worry too much. Neither dh or I caught it, and while we were sort of careful, we weren't scrupulous.

If it's not too late, I would also bathe ds1 tonight, if not tomorrow morning.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:37

We went crabbing there a few times, but I have to say I get a bit icky about crabs. I think it's the claws and the fact that they move sideways.

Guadalupe · 22/03/2009 19:38

I like the eyes.

FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2009 19:40

crabs make you go euugh huh huh huh huuuuuh imo
that scrabbling thing they do when you are pulling them up
i think we will probably do southwold and walberswick again in september when the schools go back
it was perfect last year

anyway
harping on
ds2's immune system is iffy isn't it. and he has plenty of scratches etc
oh arseholes to it, it is too late now

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:44

Easy to say, but try not to worry about what hasn't happened.

Guadalupe · 22/03/2009 19:45

Yes, but ds1 is strong as an ox so he won't get it and ds2 won't get it because he didn't go near the boy so it will all be fine.

FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2009 19:45

if i didn't do that lemur i think my head would be empty of thought approx 72% of the time

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2009 19:46

ok
yes

we had a nice day anyway
ds1 insisted on wearing his chinese pyjamas to the park
ds2 went on a swing and laughed and laughed

Try and embrace the emptiness.

FrayedKnot · 22/03/2009 19:47

Sorry Franny I don;t know much about impetigo. Sounds like it's not quite as catching as all that if otehr family members don;t automatically get it though.

Is anyone else watching the bubble net fishing whales on BBC1? Quite amazing.

I may have had 3 portions again today

Oh no, perhaps 4.

I have found out what to feed out tadpoles:

Boiled spinach.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 19:49

Does that make you vacuous Franny?

Yes I just saw the whales FK. I saw the earlier bit with the Orca whales as well - the bastards.

littlerach · 22/03/2009 19:57

I love Suffolk.

I went on tramploine today.
Pelvic floor not as good as I htought

SuperBunny · 22/03/2009 22:52

Hello, hello

hope you all had lovely days. Ours was splendid. Bunch at a country club courtesy of work (and I was given a Vera Wang Crystal bowl which seems to be worth $120 - I think I might ebay it) then we spent the afternoon doing an egg hunt with some friends.

F&V minimal.

TooTicky · 23/03/2009 06:42

Sounds amazing SB

I was out running at 6

Guadalupe · 23/03/2009 12:43

Do you find you get more hungry when you run, Toot? I was always starving when I got back.

SuperBunny · 23/03/2009 13:30

I should get back to running. Should...

womblingalong · 23/03/2009 13:35
